Ganbare Pro Wrestling

Ganbare Pro Wrestling, or simply GanPro, is an independent wrestling promotion in Japan. Originally created as a special event in parent company DDT in 2013 by wrestler Ken Ohka, it soon became a separate promotion and started putting on its own events. The brand was created to capture the spirit of small independent promotions throughout Japan.

The promotion also has attempted to revive a women-only sub-brand, Ganbare Joshi, at times, with the most recent revival coming in Spring 2023. It was intended to revolve around top Ganbare woman wrestler Yuna Manase, but Manase suffered a serious injury before the relaunch that all but acrapped those plans.

On January 31, 2024 it was announced that Ganbare would separate from CyberFight Corporation at the end of March 2024 and would become an independent promotion no longer owned by the company and DDT Pro Wrestling. It was also announced 3 wrestlers-Shota, Yoshiko Hasegawa & Riara-would leave the promotion at that time and become freelancers while 2 would join and become members of two different promotions at once-Shinichiro Tominaga and Yumehito Imanari (formerly of DDT). However, they will remain under the WRESTLE UNIVERSE umbrella for broadcasts and their events will continue to be available on demand on the service at some point after they happen.

Ganbare Pro currently has 2 titles: Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight & Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Championship.
