The Lidet UWF Championship is a singles championship in GLEAT created for the Lidet UWF sub-label. Based on the original Akira Maeda promotion, UWF bouts are hybrid wrestling-martial arts matches with some shootfighting elements (but not MMA as closed fist punches are among prohibited moves) where victory is by KO, submission, referee stoppage, TKO or points (no pinfalls, fighters/teams start with 5 points. 1 point is lost for a rope break or continuing after being downed by a move or strike and being unable to answer a 10 count like after a knockdown in boxing. Losing all 5 points results in defeat). If the time limit is reached, the fighter with the most remaining points wins. If they are tied on points, the fight is a draw. The title was created in spring 2023. It was first awarded in June 2023 when Takanori Ito won a tournament to crown the inaugural champion.
As of 7/1/2024 there have been 3 Lidet UWF Champions.
