The TNA Knockouts Championship is a women’s singles championship in TNA Wrestling. Instead of calling them women or “Divas” like WWE did for some time, TNA refers to their women’s division as the Knockouts division instead and the women are called Knockouts. The title was originally called the TNA Women’s World Championship then became the TNA Women’s Knockouts Championship in 2008 before becoming just the Knockouts Championship in 2010. It was first awarded in October 2007 when Gail Kim won a gauntlet match to become the inaugural champion.
