All-Japan World Tag Team Championship

The All-Japan World Tag Team Championship is the top tag team title in All-Japan Pro Wrestling. The title is actually two separate titles-the PWF Tag Team Championship and the NWA International Tag Team Championship-unified and defended as one title. The two championships are represented by the four belts held by the champion team. The title was created in June 1988 when PWF Tag Team Champions Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu beat NWA International Tag Team Champions The Road Warriors to win the titles and unify both titles.

As of 3/30/2024 there have been 99 All-Japan World Tag Team Champions. They are listed below in the order of reign, which reign it was (some won the title multiple times), length of reign and number of successful defenses. Note that from 1988-1994 and in 2012 & 2014 the titles were vacated annually in November or December for the annual World’s Strongest Tag League tournament where the winners also won the titles.
