I’ve been slacking a bit on TNA Wrestling coverage the last month due mainly to work schedule adjustments, but it was just announced today that TNA will be discontinuing the YouTube Ultimate Insider subscription program effective June 1, and that will affect whether or not I continue TNA coverage (I had been a subscriber since January 2023). Here’s what is going on:
The popular $4.99/month subscription is being discontinued because TNA feels YouTube cannot provide a robust-enough platform for the content being offered. The 99 cent monthly Insider subscription, which offers only the weekly episodes of Impact every Thursday 30 minutes after they premiere on AXS TV, will remain available on YouTube. After June 1, all Ultimate Insider subscribers will receive a refund for the final month of their subscription.
There are 2 special offers on TNA+ for current Ultimate Insider subscribers-you can get the lower-tier monthly plan at 50% off for the first 2 months ($4.99/month, normally $9.99/month or $95.99/year), which is essentially the same as Ultimate Insider content-wise, or get the annual World Champion tier (annual only) at an $80 discount for the first year, which means the next 2 quarterly PPVs (Slammiversary in July and likely Bound For Glory in October) are yours FOR FREE for a total first year cost of $139.99, which essentially means for the first year you’re paying for just one of the 4 quarterly live PPVs with this deal. I’m guessing the monthly live events will also remain available as PPVs on Triller/FITE for $9.99 each, and they also will continue to carry the quarterly PPVs for $39.99. The lower price tier also includes quarterly PPV replays 30 days after the live PPV. If you buy a quarterly PPV by itself, you get it live then on demand for 30 days.

UPDATE: I am leaning towards not subscribing to TNA+ for financial reasons (planned trip to Japan in 2025) & time constraints. I probably won’t subscribe to Insider on YouTube either. Title history pages will be kept updated but that’s probably going to be it for TNA coverage here.
