Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 11/6/22 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro resumes their Fall 2022 house show series today with a return to Tokyo for a Sunday midday matinee event. All Elite Wrestling star Willow Nightingale continues her Japan debut tour and makes her second TJPW appearance today and her first Tokyo appearance after appearing for fellow DDT sub-label Ganbare Pro Wrestling earlier this week in Yokohama, which will be one of the highlights of today’s event.

Today’s event will be held at Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. Since this is a weekend matinee house show it will be on the short side-because there are 6 matches, but half are single matches, I expect the event to run about 1 hour 45 minutes. So if you’re watching in the eastern US it’ll be over shortly before the time change (REMINDER for US viewers-set your clocks back one hour at 2 AM!)..
The promotion has announced that Nao Kakuta will miss the next two events due to conflicts with her acting schedule. Also, after today’s event Miyu Yamashita & Hyper Misao are headed to England to appear in Pro Wrestling EVE and will miss at least one event.

Today’s lineup:
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Pom Harajuku
Hikari Noa vs. Kaya Toribami
Yuki Aino & Raku vs. Moka Miyamoto & Arisu Endo
Rika Tatsumi vs. Neko Haruna
Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Mahiro Kiryu vs. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Hyper Misao
Miu Watanabe & Suzume vs. Shoko Nakajima & Willow Nightingale

11:30 PM ET UPDATE: Updates begin now…

We are LIVE from Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Sounds and looks about average for the venue at reduced capacity, so likely in the 225-250 range.

Opening announcements are underway then the Up Up Girls performance. The matches should begin in about 10 minutes. A new trainee was introduced during the opening announcements.

The matches begin at 11:45 PM ET. Hard camera only today.

Result: Rika Tatsumi beat Neko Haruna

Match 5: Miu Watanabe & Suzume vs. Shoko Nakajima & Willow Nightingale (All Elite Wrestling). 20 minute time limit
Result: Shoko Nakajima & Willow Nightingale beat Miu Watanabe & Suzume. NIghtingale pinned Suzume after a gutwrench sitout powerbomb. Of note, Watanabe managed to get Nightingale, who is at least twice her size if not more, up for a 10 rotation Giant Swing. Incredible.

Quick break for ring repairs.

Main Event: Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Mahiro Kiryu vs. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Hyper Misao. 20 minute time limit
Result: Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Hyper Misao beat Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Mahiro Kiryu. Misao pinned Kiryu after Hypami Returns.

This was a comedy-heavy event except for the opening match with a lot of emphasis on humor. Still enjoyable as usual though. They blazed through the first 4 matches in barely an hour. After the main event, Misao gave a quick send-off to the fans as she & Yamashita are now off to England. The entire show ran 1 hour 45 minutes. If you’re on the US east coast, it’s coming up on 2 AM now at the end so set those clocks back!

The next event is “CITY CIRCUIT AUTUMN-Yuki Arai’s Triumphant Local Return” on 11/13 at Kyoto KBS Hall in Kyoto. Of course this means I’ll be happy because I get another helping of AA Eye Candy because Saki Akai will also be participating. The event is already a legit sellout. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin on 11/12 at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT.

UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 312, a full house/near sellout. That’s the highest KFC Hall number in quite some time.
