DDT runs their final tour-ending Tokyo signature event of 2024 today, Never Mind 2024, which also is the final event before their blowout year-ender. Unusually there are no title matches scheduled today, but there’s a big potential hoss fight highlighting the card because of New Japan participation, as Tomohiro Ishii comes over for a special match against Yuki Iino…in other words, BEEF! Tough 2 Dollar Steaks all around! It will also be the last time Chris Brookes & Daisuke Sasaki are on opposite sides before their KO-D Openweight Championship match on 12/28, and challenger Sasaki has been getting the better of champion Brookes almost every time so far. Will that continue?
Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. Marika Tani will be making her semi-regular appearance as a special guest on commentary. There are 7 matches and no 30+ minute matches so the longest the event could go is about 3 1/2 hours but I expect it to be close to a”normal” Korakuen event running about 2 1/2 hours.
Today’s lineup:
MJ Paul, Demus & Illusion vs. Takeshi Masada, Yuni & Kazuma Sumi
Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata vs. Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda
Jun Akiyama, Shinya Aoki & Keigo Nakamura vs. HARASHIMA, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida
MAO, To-y & Takao Soma vs. Tetsuya Endo, Yuya Koroku & Akito
Yuki Ueno vs. Super Sasadango Machine
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Yuki Iino
Chris Brookes & Masa Takanashi vs. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON

We are LIVE from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Your hosts are Satoshi Dairaku, Kagehiro Osano & Marika Tani.
The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The crowd is still filing in and it’s their usual smaller-capacity setup, with a few other events happening in Tokyo soon I’ll predict a little on the low side and go around 800. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 966, a full house/near sellout)
The matches should begin in about 15 minutes.
The matches begin at 6:35 PM PT/9:35 PM ET.

He calls out-and gets-New Japan wrestler Great-O-Khan. They talk a possible match on 12/28. Soon they are joined by Kentaro Kumagai. Khan apparently has convinced Kumagai to join United Empire. Then someone I don’t recognize comes out of the crowd to side with Dieno. So perhaps a tag match. Either way, sounds like Dieno now wants to put the DDT Extreme Championship on the line. We’ll see. Updates to come.

Updated 12/28 card to finish the show. DDT Extreme Champion Danshoku Dieno vs. Great-O-Khan for the title is now official, and it’s an Unauthorized Match. Tetsu Inada will be in Dieno’s corner, Kentaro Kumagai in Khan’s corner.
The next event is ULTIMATE PARTY 2024, the year-ending blowout event, Saturday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Friday at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.
UPDATE: The DDT Extreme Championship match on 12/28 will be an “unofficial” match, meaning the outcome, whether successful defense or title change, will not be recognized as official. Interesting.
