Standings:
Block A:
1-Sumi, 2-1, 4 pts
2-Satoh, 2-1, 4 pts
3-To-y, 1-1-1, 3 pts
4-Ishida, 1-1-1, 3 pts
5-Illusion, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)
Block B:
1-Koroku, 3-0, 6 pts
2-Rukiya, 2-1, 4 pts
3-Masada, 2-1, 4 pts
4-Yuni, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)
5-Kasai, 0-3, 0 pts (OUT)
The winners of each block advance to the Finals. In Block A the remaining matches are Sato-To-y and Ishida-Sumi. Sumi advances with a win. Sato advances with a win AND Sumi loss or draw (Sumi beat Sato for tiebreaker). To-y advances with a win AND Sumi-Ishida draw or no points finish. Ishida advances with a win AND To-y-Sato no points finish. If both To-y and Ishida win, there will be a tiebreaker rematch because their match went to a draw.
In Block B the remaining matches are Koroku-Masada and Rukiya-Kasai. The Koroku-Masada winner, if there is one, advances. If it’s a draw, Koroku advances. Rukiya can’t advance with a win because he lost to Koroku. His only hope is a win AND Masada win to force a 3-way tiebreaker match. That of course assumes Rukiya can return at the next event. If mot, the Koroku-Masada winner advances.
The next event is Saturday at Imaike Gas Hall in Nagoya. There will be no live broadcast. On demand Tuesday.
