The penultimate event of the Shinjuku Face Countdown Series was a Super Japan Pro Wrestling event held today.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The paid attendance was not announced but it was a legit advance sellout, so assume 500.
The event opened with performances by DDT wrestler former DDT wrestler MIKAMI, comedians Marilyn Joy & Kombu-chan and a surprise appearance by comedian Koriki Choshu (a Riki Choshu impersonator).
Match 1: GAJI Debut Match: Shota & Ryoma Tsukamito beat GAJI & Makoto Oishi. Shota pinned Oishi with Gannosuke Clutch.
Match 2: Marika Kobashi & Azusa Inaba beat Mio Shirai & Yuki Minami. Kobashi pinned Shirai.
Match 3: O-MENZ Kumadori & Saira beat Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Yuki Kamifuku. Kumadori pinned Japan after a Kumadori-style senton.
Match 4: Brahmans Shu & Kei beat Funinori Abe & Mac Matsushita, Tanomusaku Toba & Gym Trainer Kotoka and Sanshiro Takagi & Munemori Sawa in a 4-way when Shu pinned Takagi.
Match 5: CIMA beat Ken Ohka.
Main Event: Yuji Nagata beat Satoshi Kojima. Nagata retains the DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship.
But after the show ended…
Sanshiro Takagi beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Yuji Nagata to win the title. Takagi becomes the 1912th Champion.
