DDT 6/3/23 Results

DDT ran the latest Yokohama Unlimited event today, the third in a new series of seemingly monthly standalone house shows in Yokohama.

Today’s event was held at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The announced paid attendance was 189, a full house/near sellout.

There were a few last-minute changes to the card because Masa Takanashi was pulled due to a fever. Also, Chris Brookes appeared before the event began to provide an update on his shoulder injury (dislocated shoulder). He expects to be out another month, saying he will return on 7/7 at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo.

Match 1: Yuya Koroku beat Kazuma Sumi. This was to have been Takeshi Masada vs. Sumi but Masada was moved to the main event as a replacement for Takanashi.

Match 2: Yuki Iino & Danshoku Dieno beat Antonio Honda & Rukiya. Iino beat Honda. This was to have been a handicap match but Koroku was moved to the first match to replace Masada.

Match 3: Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani beat Yusuke Okada & Yuki Ishida. Okatani pinned Ishida with a double arm suplex.

Match 4: Sanshiro Takagi & Akito beat Yuki Ueno & Yuni. Takagi beat Yuni with a Texas cloverleaf.

Match 5: MAO & Mei Suruga (Chocolate Pro Wrestling) beat Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata. Suruga pinned Hirata after Comet.

Match 6: Toi Kojima beat Daisuke Sasaki by DQ. Chair use. Afterwards, it was announced Sasaki & MJ Paul would be the team facing Ueno & Kojima for the vacant KO-D Tag Team Championship on 6/25 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Match 7: Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama beat HARASHIMA & Takao Soma. Endo pinned Soma after Burning Star Press.

Main Event: Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi beat Kazusada Higuchi & Takeshi Masada. Hino beat Masada with a King Kong sleeper. Brookes apparently watched this match at ringside so message sent by Hino.

The next event is a Japan Para-Wrestling Federation Co-Promoted Charity Event tomorrow at Odawara Sub Arena in Kanagawa, where all disabled (physically or mentally) fans and children under 18 will receive free admission. There will be no live broadcast.
