DDT ran a special The37Kamiina Produced event today, with every match themed atound spas/saunas with prizes for the winners and of course a lot of Heatwave WER!!
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The announced paid attendance was 500, a legit advance sellout. 100% full capacity.
Before the event began there were 2 announcements: Yuya Koroku, who is out due to injury, will return on 3/17 at Korakuen Hall for the DDT 27th Anniversary event, and Toi Kojima was changing his name to To-y.
Match 1: Hideki Okatani, Yuni & Illusion beat Takeshi Masada, Kazuma Sumi & Rukiya. Okayani pinned Rukiya with a double arm suplex.
Match 2: Kazusada Higuchi & Makoto Oishi beat Kazuki Hirata & Naya Tontu (Yukio Naya). Oishi pinned Hirata with a tornado clutch.
Match 3: Shunma Katsumata vs. Kuroshio TOKYO Japan went to a double fall. Draw. It was decided both would get the prize by devision of the sponsor after neither originally was going to.
Match 4: MAO beat Chris Brookes by countout.
Match 5: Masato Tanaka (ZERO1) beat To-y (Toi Kojima).
Main Event: KO-D Openweight Champion Yuki Ueno beat Danshoku Dieno to retain the title. V2 for Ueno. They went nearly 33 minutes. Next up: HARASHIMA. That match will happen on 3/17.
The next event is Sunday at Duo Cerezo in Niigata as part of a weekend doubleheader with Tokyo Joshi Pro. There will be no live broadcast.
