DDT continued the D GENERATIONS CUP today in Tokyo after beginning it yesterday with a mini event.
Both events were held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The paid attendance was not announced for either event.
Yesterday:
All matches were D GENERATIONS CUP matches.
Match 1: Block B: To-y beat Yuni.
Match 2: Block A: Illusion beat Keigo Nakamura.
Match 3: Block A: Takeshi Masada beat Yuki Ishida.
Main Event: Block B: Kazuma Sumi beat Yuya Koroku.
Today:
Match 1: Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku beat Illusion & Yuni. Masada pinned Yuni after Masada’s Power Kobu Muscle.
Match 2: Danshoku Dieno beat Takao Soma.
Match 3: Yukio Naya & Daichi Sato beat Akito & Yuki Iino. Naya pinned Akito after The World’s Largest Backdrop.
D GENERATIONS CUP:
Match 4: Block A: Keigo Nakamura beat Yuki Ishida.
Match 5: Block B: To-y beat Kazuma Sumi.
Match 6: KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON beat HARASHIMA, Jun Akiyama & Tomomitsu Matsunaga to retain the titles. KANON beat Matsunaga with Cobra Twist 2.0. V5 for the champs.
Main Event: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shinya Aoki beat Chris Brookes, Masa Takanashi & Antonio Honda. Ueno pinned Honda after WR. Afterwards, it was revealed that Minoru Suzuki had accepted Ueno’s request to defend the DDT Universal Championship against him on 3/20. As a result, it’s now official.
The next event is Saturday at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET.
