DDT 7/5/24 Results

DDT held another of their at least semi-annual Beer Garden Pro Wrestling events yesterday in Tokyo.

Yesterday’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 630, a full house/near sellout.

Match 1: Kazuki Hirata & Kazuma Sumi beat Shinichiro Kawamatsu & Illusion. Hirata pinned Illusion.

Match 2: In a Positive Thinking Deathmatch, where a team would also lose if negative comments were made by one of their members, HARASHIMA, Keigo Nakamura & Yuki Ishida beat Danshoku Dieno, Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi by Akiyama negative comment.

A new collaboration between a clothing maker and DDT was announced, so we got some fanservice and Takeshi Masada got to be the lucky guy standing between the two lovely ladies that were there as the famed model/promo girls.

Ryuichi Kawakami, just released from his GLEAT contract Monday, made an unexpected appearance. He announced DDT participation, which will happen at the end of the month, and that brought Yukio Naya out for a confrontation. HOSS FIGHT ALERT!!!

Match 3: In a No DQ I Quit Match, Antonio Honda beat Invisible Leonardo DiCaprio.

Match 4: In a Falls Count Anywhere Match, Sanshiro Unagi (Sanshiro Takagi) & Sayaka Unagi (Independent/Freelancer) vs. Brahmans Shu & Kei went to a no contest. Out of control. Too much carnage for ref Daisuke Kiso.

Match 5: In a Falls Count Anywhere match, Chris Brookes, Masa Takanashi & Yukio Naya beat Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku. Naya pinned Koroku after a chokeslam onto an inflatable pool.

Main Event: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y beat Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MAO. Ueno pinned MAO after July 2. For this event only MAO joined Damnation TA as he split from The37Kamiina ahead of his KO-D Openweight Championship match against Ueno at WRESTLE PETER PAN on 7/21.

The next event is a charity tournament presented by the Japan Disabled Wrestling Federation tomorrow at Odawara Arena Sub Arena in Kanagawa. Fans with disabilities and their caregivers can get free admission. There will be no live broadcast. It will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Wednesday.
