DDT hosts a Super Japan Pro Wrestling event today, the latest Sanshiro Takagi Produced project event featuring only non-DDT affiliated wrestlers outside of Takagi himself. And that of course means the fellow oldest member at 57 years old, New Japan wrestler Yuji Nagata, participation as well as some familiar other veterans (Taiji Ishimori will also participate from New Japan)and also a women’s match, and surely plenty of comedy to go along with it and wrap up 2025 on a lighter note.
Today’s event will be held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. There are 6 matches scheduled with no intermissions so the longest the event could run is about 3 hours, but it probably will be closer to 2 hours. Although the main event does have an always-long & unpredictable Kuroshio TOKYO Japan entrance, so who knows.

The paid attendance will not be announced after the event. Based on advance ticket sales, it could be a legit sellout with only a few same-day tickets left. If not it will be very close. So it’s safe to say full capacity and they’ll proabbly do 475-500.

The matches begin at 7:05 PM PT/10:05 PM ET.
Match 1: Ryoma Tsukamoto vs. Shota. 30 minute time limit
Result: Shota beat Ryoma Tsukamoto
Match 2: DJ Nira (maybe the only wrestler without entrance music) vs. Muscle Sakai. 30 minute time limit
Result: Unclear. Comedy match where they kept turning the lights on & off and inconclusive ending. Maybe Nira was declared winner as there was no music.
Match 3: Mio Shirai vs. Marika Kobashi. 30 minute time limit
Result: Mio Shirai beat Marika Kobashi
Match 4: MIKAMI & TakashI Sasaki vs. “Showa” 2 & “Reiwa” 2. 30 minute time limit
Result: MIKAMI & Takashi Sasaki beat Showa 2 & Reiwa 2. MIKAMI pinned Showa (I think).
Match 5: Brahmans Shu & Kei & Taiji Ishimori (New Japan) vs. Shuji Kondo, Ken Ohka & Mac Matsushita. 30 minute time limit
Result: Brahmans Shu & Kei & TaijI Ishimori beat Shuji Kondo, Ken Ohka & Mac Matsushita. Ishimori beat Matsushita with Bone Lock.

This event was basically the comedy portion of DDT with just a little actual wrestling thrown in. If you like the wacky humor this is your kind of event.
There probably will be more such events in 2026, just not sure when yet.
The next event, the first of 2026, is Saturday at Korakuen Hall. The event is a legit advance sellout. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET.
