For the second event of the cross-promoted tripleheader this weekend, DDT is running another US event with independent promotion DEFY Wrestling. This event will feature several crossover matches between DDT wrestlers and DEFY & other independent stars, and also an appearance by current All Elite Wrestling member Marina Shafir, plus a huge title match as DDT Universal Champion MAO defends the title in a 3-way against TNA Wrestling and independent sensation Mike Bailey and Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s Miyu Yamashita, in the latter’s second title match today. Konosuke Takeshita will also compete in a match against Kohei Kinoshita. That and plenty more.
Today’s event will be held at Historic Washington Hall in Seattle, WA and can be watched LIVE only on Triller/FITE with a Triller+ subscription ($7.99/month or $69.99/year). It WILL NOT be available live or on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Right now there look to be 8 matches scheduled, but with Yuni and Danshoku DIeno both on the card you can’t rule out some DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship craziness either…anyway, there may or may not be time limits but I anticipate the event will run around 2 1/2 hours.

Main Event: DDT Universal Champion MAO vs. Mike Bailey & Miyu Yamashita in a 3-way for the title
Result: Miyu Yamashita beat DDT Universal Champion MAO & Mike Bailey in a 3-way by pinning Bailey to win the title. Yamashita becomes the 15th DDT Universal Champion. A clusterf**k of awesome. And now the first woman champion as Yamashita is a double champion for now. What an upset! But this could mean a change to tomorrow…Yamashita is scheduled to face Gringo Loco. And Loco came out at the end. With microphone. Not surprisingly, he wants tomorrow to be for the title. Yamashita accepts in English, throwing down an anytime, anywhere challenge. This brings out Nick Wayne. Despite being a heel in AEW, Wayne gets the hometown pop. After winning 2 matches today (his match on AEW Collision was taped earlier this week), he now wants in and to make tomorrow a 3-way. But he says it’s up to Yamashita. Accepted in English. We’ll see you tomorrow!
