For the second half of their US doubleheader as part of The Collective, DDT is taking part in a crossover event with The Collective host Game Changer Wrestling, which has a working partnership with DDT, for an afternoon event today. The card is full of crossover matches with every one having a GCW vs. DDT theme and a little bit of everything-hardcore potential, a women’s match, high flying, hoss fights, and DDT wackiness courtesy of those deplorable Pheromons…as long as they don’t get the event shut down. Given who they are facing…that’s a distinct possibility. And I say that while trying not to laugh. Because it’s still DDT after all!
Today’s event will be held at the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Los Angeles, CA and can be watched LIVE ONLY on FITE+, which costs $7.99/month or $69.99/year and is available on FITE. THERE IS NO LIVE OR ON DEMAND BROADCAST ON WRESTLE UNIVERSE. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial so it’s possible to watch this event and all of The Collective FOR FREE! There will be English commentary only. They have a constant schedule of events that are part of The Collective, one after the other, although they are at different locations it probably keeps individual events from running too long. Because of this I anticipate this event’s running time being no more than 3 hours, maybe closer to 2 hours 45 minutes.

Yoshihiko beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Cole Radrick to win the title. Yoshihiko becomes the 1571st Champion.
Quick final thoughts: I haven’t watched as much GCW as I should but this was a fun showcase for both promotions with a lot of comedy over the last 3 matches in particular. The main event was incredibly enjoyable-if you ever want to see a one person match, watch any Yoshihiko match. It’s amazing and so hilarious at times. If you’re into one or both of these promotions, check it out. A good event for what it was.
Overall show grade: B
End Show.
The next event is tomorrow at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama with those who didn’t cone to the US. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 1 AM PT/4 AM ET.
UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 551.
