GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event today, returning to Tokyo for an event with a couple of surprises.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube (see yesterday’s posts for video).
The announced paid attendance was 257.
Before the event began, it was announced that So Daimonji was joining Bulk Orchestra and that TBA in the main event, as part of the STRONGHEARTS team, would be Seiki Yoshioka (Independent/Freelancer, who just left Pro Wrestling NOAH).
Match 1: Kaz Hayashi, MICHIKO & Tomoaki Honma (New Japan) beat Soma Watanabe, Yuya Susumu & JD Lee. Hayashi pinned Lee after Final Cut.
Match 2: Seigo Tachibana (Independent/Freelancer) beat Jun Tonsho. Afterwards, they kept fighting until Soma Watanabe came out. He requested a match of himself & Tonsho vs. Tachibana & Kuroshio TOKYO Japan.
Match 3: Minoru Tanaka, Tetsuya Izuchi & Shuji Ishikawa (Independent/Freelancer) beat Hartley Jackson, Keiichi Sato & Riki Aitaka. Ishikawa pinned Sato after Fire Thunder.
Match 4: Kumaarashi (Independent/Freelancer) beat Junjie.
Match 5: Kaito Ishida, Kotaro Suzuki & Ayato Yoshida beat CIMA, Issei Onitsuka & Takehiro Yamamura. Ishida pinned Yamamura with a half suplex hold.
Match 6: Ryuichi Kawakami & So Daimonji beat Takanori Ito & Yusuke Kodama. Daimonji pinned Kodama after Black Rain.
Main Event: T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Seiki Yoshioka beat Hayato Tamura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Quiet Storm. Yoshioka pinned Tamura after a screw kick.
The next event is GLEAT Ver. 9 on 2/23 at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka. Broadcast plans TBA, but because it’s Osaka there probably will be no live broadcast. If that is the case, it should be available on demand on YouTube 2-3 days after the event.
UPDATE: After the event, GLEAT announced 2 title matches for 3/13 at Korakuen Hall: A G REX Championship match, which is TBA pending 2/23 results, and a G-INFINITY Championship match which will be Jun & Rei Saito defending against Kaz Hayashi & CIMA. Also announced for 3/13 was MICHIKO vs. Chihiro Hashimoto.
