This is the very rare situation where I post about WWE on this website, but word broke a short time ago that some names that may be familiar to Japanese wrestling fans are gone from the promotion, specifically Lance Anoa’i and Zara Zakher. Anoz’i, a son of Samu and part of that legendary Samoan dynasty, was released and is headed back to the independents. His WWE time never really got going due to injuries shortly after he signed a year ago. Anoa’i made a few appearances in Pro Wrestling NOAH before joining WWE. Zakher, who along with others (namely Jada Stone) has really impressed in a handful of appearances in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, is leaving wrestling completely, at least for now. Her departure came because her WWE ID (developmental) contract expired. It’s not known if she eventually will come back to wrestling or not.
