Pro Wrestling NOAH ran a doubleheader today in Tokyo, with the first event featuring only single matches where each match featured a current or former GHC Heavyweight or National Champion, and the second event being a regular house show.
Today’s events were held at Club eX in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
There were many last-minute changes to the second event card based on the results of the first event.
Event 1:
The announced paid attendance was 264.
Match 1: Go Shiozaki beat Kai Fujimura.
Match 2: Jack Morris beat Tadasuke.
Match 3: Kenoh beat Yuto Kikuchi.
Match 4: Ulka Sasaki beat Alejandro.
Match 5: Masa Kitamiya beat HAYATA.
Match 6: Manabu Soya vs. YO-HEY went to a 15 minute time limit draw.
Main Event: Kaito Kiyomiya beat Harutoki.
Event 2:
The announced paid attendance was 314.
Match 1: Mohammed Yone beat Yu Owada.
Match 2: Manabu Soya & Go Shiozaki vs. Masa Kitamiya & Ulka Sasaki went to a 15 minute time limit draw.
Match 3: Jack Morris & Daga beat Shuhei Taniguchi & Eita. Daga pinned Eita after Diablo Wings.
Match 4: HAYATA, YO-HEY, Tadasuke & Yuto Kikuchi beat Atsushi Kotoge, AMAKUSA, Junta Miyawaki & Daiki Odashima. YO-HEY pinned Odashima after a dropkick.
Match 5: Kaito Kiyomiya, Kenoh, Alejandro, Kai Fujimura & Harutoki beat Anthony Greene, Dragon Bane, Alpha Wolf, LJ Cleary & Black Menso-re (Independent/Freelancer). Kiyomiya pinned Menso-re after Transformed Shining Wizard.
Main Event: GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura beat Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno Del Mal to retain the titles. Marufuji beat Del Mal with a neck lock. V4 for the champs.
The next event is tomorrow at Shinjuku Face. The matches will not be announced in advance. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET. This will also be a live ABEMA broadcast in Japan so there will be Japanese commentary only.
UPDATE: Next up for the tag champs-Jack Morris & TBA, who he will reveal tomorrow. Likely to happen on 1/1 at Nippon Budokan.
UPDATE 2: If a post Taishi Ozawa has made on the socials is legit, he could be the next challenger for Kiyomiya & the GHC Heavyweight Championship on 1/1. He posted a photo holding a contract for the match which he has signed, but Kiyomiya hasn’t yet. Click below and judge for yourself.
