Pro Wrestling NOAH is on a weekend tour of the UK this weekend, running 2 events co-produced with the independent promotion Progress Wrestling. The tour wraps up today but we now have results from the first 2 events.
Friday;s event was held at O2 Academy n Edinburgh, Scotland. There was no live broadcast and it’s not known if it will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date.
The announced paid attendance was 240.
Match 1; AMAKUSA & TO-HEY beat Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey. YO-HEY pinned Trew after a dropkick.
Match 2: Naomichi Marufuji & Grado beat HAYATA & Tate Mayfairs. Marufuji pinned Mayfairs after Shiraniu.
Match 3: Ulka Sasaki beat LJ Cleary by submission.
Match 4: Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf vs. Kid Lycos & Lycos 2 went to a 15 minute time limit draw.
Match 5: Kenoh beat Gene Munny.
Match 6: Axel Tischer beat Taishi Ozawa.
Match 7: Yoshiki Inamura beat Will Kroos.
Match 7: Ricky Knight Jr. beat Manabu Soya. I think…NOAH’s official website also has graphics that suggest it could have been a Double KO.
Main Event: Kaito Kiyomiya & Masa Kitamiya beat Jack Morris & Saxon Huxley. Kiyomiya pinned Hucley after Transformed Shining Wizard.
Yesterday’s event was held at The O2 Ritz in Manchester, England.
The announced paid attendance was 420.
Match 1: Dragon Bane & Alpha Wolf beat Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey. Bane pinned Trew after Santa Maria.
Match 2: Masa Kitamiya beat Gene Munny.
Match 3: Luke Jacobs beat Taishi Ozawa.
Match 4: Kid Lycos & Lycos 2 beat Jack Morris & YO-HEY. Lycos pinned YO-HEY after a oackage DDT. This led to a card change for today’s event, namely the Lycoses getting a GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship shot.
Match 5: Naomichi Marufuji & AMAKUSA Beat Ulka Sasaki & LJ Cleary. Marufuji pinned Cleary after Shiranui.
Match 6: Yoshiki Inamura beat Charlie Sterling.
Match 7: Saxon Huxley & HAYATA beat Manabu Soya & Tate Mayfairs. Huxley pinned Mayfairs after a neck hanging bomb.
Main Event: Ricky Knight Jr. & Axel Tischer beat Kaito Kiyomiya & Kenoh. Knight pinned Kiyomiya after Goodnight Dricer. Momentum for their previously-announced GHC Heavyweight Championship match today.
