Stardom runs the second half of their “Stardom Award 2024” doubleheader weekend today in Tokyo. There are no title matches today but they will determine who will be the first to challenge Starlight Kid for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship as former champion Saori Anou faces Rina for the next title shot. The second of 2 new trainees, Yuria Hime, will have her debut match today and, after Akira Kurogame debuted yesterday against Suzu Suzuki, Yuria gets arguably the much tougher draw as her career begins against none other than Maika.
There was a late change made to one announced match, the planned match between Aya Sakura & Kiyoka Kokatsu will now be a UWF Rules match. They are using the original UWF Rules and not the Lidet UWF Rules used in GLEAT, although they are largely similar. In fact, the only real difference is the original UWF Rules have a 30 minute time limit compared to 15 minutes for Lidet UWF, otherwise they are the same: No pinfalls, win only by submission, KO, TKO (all points lost), ref stoppage, doctor stoppage or towel. Each fighter has 5 points and loses 1 point on a down recovery (beat 10 count when downed) or rope escape. No DQs, illegal moves or forfeiting. If the match goes to the time limit, most points left wins.
Today’s event will be held at Belle Salle Takadanobaba in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. There will be no commentary. There are 7 matches planned and, assuming there will be an intermission at some point, I anticipate it’ll run about the same length as yesterday’s event did, which wound up being 2 1/4 hours.

Result: Kiyoka Kokatsu beat Aya Sakura by submission. Kokatsu was up on points 3-1 at the time. The first half was glorified squash until Sakura got a knockdown when down 1-5. Post-match Kokatsu offered a handshake but Sakura b*tch slapped it away because she’s Cosmic Angels.
Match 3: Saki Kashima, Hina, Lady C & Matoi Hamabe vs. Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian. 20 minute time limit
Result: Saki Kashima, Hina, Lady C & Matoi Hamabe beat Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian. Kashima pinned Rian.
Match 4: Hazuki & Koguma vs. Syuri & Ranna Yagami. 20 minute time limit. During Syuri/Yagami’s entrance the video screen in the background shows some hilarious “NO BEAR” graphics (anti-Koguma referfences).
Result: Hazuki & Koguma beat Syuri & Ranna Yagami. Koguma pinned Yagami after a Hazuki double knee strike.
Match 5: Tam Nakano, Natsupoi, Yuna Mizumori & Sayaka Kurara vs. Mayu Iwatani, Hanan, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo. 20 minute time limit
Resault: Mayu Iwatani, Hanan, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo beat Tam Nakano, Natsupoi, Yuna Mizumori & Sayaka Kurara. Hanan pinned Mizumori wtih a backdrop hold.

The next event is 2/2 at Korakuen Hall. The only match announced so far is Kamitani vs. Suzuki for the World Of Stardom Championship Broadcast plans TBA but since it’s Korakuen I’m confident in saying it will be live on Stardom World. If so, live streaming will begin Saturday at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET.
