Stardom 12/26/24 Results

Stardom ran the final NEW BLOOD event of the year today, the 17th installment of their showcase series for younger & less-experienced wrestlers.

Today’s event was held at New Sun Pier Takeshiba in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube. You can watch the entire event below (the matches begin at the 11 minute mark):

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. It’s a small venue and wasn’t full capacity but from what I can see at the start it looks like between 150-200.

Match 1: Cohaku (Sendai Girls) beat Matoi Hamabe.

Match 2: Tomoka Inaba, Hina & Ranna Yagami beat Himiko, Mitsuki Kato & Yuma Makoto (Diana). Hina pinned Makoto.

Match 3: Yuna Mizumori & Tam Nakano beat Sumika Yanagawa & Misa Kami (JTO). Nakano beat Yanagawa.

Match 4: Honoka (WAVE) beat Rian.

Intermission.

Match 5: Saori Anou, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara beat ZONES, ChiChi & Sai (Evolution). Sakura pinned ChiChi after a spinning right head kick.

Main Event: Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO beat New Blood Tag Team Champions Rina & Azusa Inaba to win the titles. Tsukiyama & HANAKO become the 4th New Blood Tag Team Champions. HANAKO pinned Rina after egret. Well, that’s one title record Rina won’t take away from big sister Hanan (she eclipsed Hanan’s Future Of Stardom Championship records before losing to Miyu Amasaki a couple months ago, which Stardom promptly cranked out special merchandise to profit off of). Afterwards, the new champs brought all the event’s participants out, including keeping reluctant Rina & Inaba in the ring, for the year-end group photo ops to end the show.

The next event is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2024, the year-end blowout event, Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming as a PPV on Stardom World for 4400 Japanese yen (about $30 US) will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. PPV purchase includes unlimited replays until the morning of 1/10/25. It will be available on demand on Stardom World for all monthly paying subscribers on or after 1/11/25.

In other news, the 1/3/25 year-opening event will also be a PPV, and it was announced that All Elite Wrestling’s Tay Melo (formerly Tay Conti) will return after a year-plus absence at this event. Melo has been away since she had her first child with her husband, AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara, in November 2023. She had recently been training to prepare for her return, but it not happening in AEW is quite a surprise.
