Leader: Kusano (6-0)
WITHDRAWAL: Oshoumi (J4). Foot. Status uncertain but Nikkan Sports reports he may be able to return this tournament. He is currently 3-3 so if he can’t return it’s probably enough to stay in Juryo. Kagayaki got the fusen as a result.
Of note: Kiryuko may also be out as well as Hochi Sports reports he was taken out in a wheelchair after a right leg injury. Updates to follow. Demotion if he can’t return would send Kiryuko back to Makushita after 2 tournaments in Juryo. If he has to pull out, Kusano will get the freebie and remain the sole unbeaten leader.
