DDT 1/5/2026 Results

DDT got their 2026 going today with the first monthly tour opener of the year and the start of the 2026 D GENERATIONS CUP.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The paid attendance was not announced.

There was an emergency addition announced last-minute to the event on social media, which was Chris Brookes announcing his newest faction-Fantomes Dramatic, with himself, Antonio Honda (of course), Kazuki Hirata & HARASHIMA. That’s a bit of a surprise…but I guess it’s “because he’a training!”

After this the opening ceremony for the D GENERATIONS CUP was held with all the participants. Well, 9 of them anyway from what I saw (there are 10 this year). It’s a 2 block round-robin format.

Match 1: D GENERATIONS CUP Block B: Yuni beat Hinata Kasai.

Match 2: D GENERATIONS CUP Block B: Yuya Koroku beat Rukiya.

Match 3: Akito beat Dansboku Dirno & Kazuki Hirata in a 3-way by beating both. As a result, GM Imabayashi was dismissed…but Akito overturned it via his executive role. (He is also an assistant GM/Vice President in DDT)

Match 4: D GENERATIONS CUP Block A: Kazuma Sumi beat Illusion.

Match 5: D GENERATIONS CUP Block A: Daichi Sato beat Yuki Ishida.

Match 6: Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya, Junta Miyawaki & Takeshi Masada beat MAO, KANON, Jun Akiyama & Munetatsu Nakamuta (Ganbare Pro). Iino pinned KANON after a spear.

Main Event: Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda beat Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kazusada Higuchi and Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Demus in a 3-way when Brookes pinned To-y.

The next event is Saturday at Osaka Azalea Taisho in Osaka. There will be no live broadcast.

DDT 1/3/2026 Results

DDT began their 2026 today with their first monthly Tokyo signature event of the year, New Year Dramatic Parade 2026.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. There was a last-minute commentary change as the scheduled guest was unable to attend and was removed just before the event. The always vauge poor health. As an emergency decision, Saki Akai was the replacement.

The paid attendance was not announced but it was a legit advance sellout.

During the opening ceremony and roster greeting, Pro Wrestling NOAH wrestler Junta Miyawaki appeared and announced, later confirmed by DDT, that he will be participating regularly in DDT effective today.

Match 1: Junta Miyawaki beat Rukiya.

Match 2: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul, Illusion & Demus beat Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Yuya Koroku, Daichi Sato, Yuni & Hinata Kasai. Illusion pinned Sato.

Match 3: Shinya Aoki beat Sanshiro Takagi.

Match 4: Jun Akiyama, Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya beat Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida. Naya pinned Ishida after The World’s Largest Backdrop.

Match 5: Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada beat HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata. Brookes pinned Hirata after Praying Mantis Bomb. Afterwards, with this being Masada’s last match with the faction, Brookes announced that Schadenfreude International was officially disbanded.

Match 6: Konosuke Takeshita & Akito beat Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine in 56 seconds. Takeshita pinned Machine. Which led to…
Match 6 (again): In a handicap match, Konosuke Takeshita beat Akito, Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine by pinning Dieno.

Main Event: KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi beat MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi to retain the titles. To-y pinned Sumi after Kojima Impact. V2 for the champs.

During the ending announcements, New Japan wrestler El Phantasmo attacked Brookes ahead of their match tomorrow at Tokyo Dome.

The next event is Monday at Shinjuku Face with the start of the 2026 D GENERATIONS CUP Tournament. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

DDT Pro Wrestling 12/29/2025 LIVE Results

DDT hosts a Super Japan Pro Wrestling event today, the latest Sanshiro Takagi Produced project event featuring only non-DDT affiliated wrestlers outside of Takagi himself. And that of course means the fellow oldest member at 57 years old, New Japan wrestler Yuji Nagata, participation as well as some familiar other veterans (Taiji Ishimori will also participate from New Japan)and also a women’s match, and surely plenty of comedy to go along with it and wrap up 2025 on a lighter note.

Today’s event will be held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. There are 6 matches scheduled with no intermissions so the longest the event could run is about 3 hours, but it probably will be closer to 2 hours. Although the main event does have an always-long & unpredictable Kuroshio TOKYO Japan entrance, so who knows.

Today’s lineup:
Ryoma Tsukamoto vs. Shota
DJ Nira vs. Muscle Sakai (Super Sasadango Machine)
Mio Shirai vs. Marika Kobashi
MIKAMI & TakashI Sasaki vs. “Shows” & “Reiwa” 2
Brahmans Shu & Kei & Taiji Ishimori vs. Shuji Kondo, Ken Ohka & Mac Matsushita
Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Kasai & Munenori Sawa vs. Yuji Nagata, Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Fuminori Abe

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event.

6:45 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun. We should be going to the venue in 10-15 minutes.

7 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Shinjuku Face in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will not be announced after the event. Based on advance ticket sales, it could be a legit sellout with only a few same-day tickets left. If not it will be very close. So it’s safe to say full capacity and they’ll proabbly do 475-500.

Sanshiro Takagi comes out to open the event. Quick greeting and start shout.

The matches begin at 7:05 PM PT/10:05 PM ET.

Match 1: Ryoma Tsukamoto vs. Shota. 30 minute time limit
Result: Shota beat Ryoma Tsukamoto

Match 2: DJ Nira (maybe the only wrestler without entrance music) vs. Muscle Sakai. 30 minute time limit
Result: Unclear. Comedy match where they kept turning the lights on & off and inconclusive ending. Maybe Nira was declared winner as there was no music.

Match 3: Mio Shirai vs. Marika Kobashi. 30 minute time limit
Result: Mio Shirai beat Marika Kobashi

Match 4: MIKAMI & TakashI Sasaki vs. “Showa” 2 & “Reiwa” 2. 30 minute time limit
Result: MIKAMI & Takashi Sasaki beat Showa 2 & Reiwa 2. MIKAMI pinned Showa (I think).

Match 5: Brahmans Shu & Kei & Taiji Ishimori (New Japan) vs. Shuji Kondo, Ken Ohka & Mac Matsushita. 30 minute time limit
Result: Brahmans Shu & Kei & TaijI Ishimori beat Shuji Kondo, Ken Ohka & Mac Matsushita. Ishimori beat Matsushita with Bone Lock.

Break for ring cleaning (there was no intermission scheduled but it looks like we’re having one now before the last match).

We return after about a 12 minute break.

Main Event: Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Kasai & Munenori Sawa vs. Yuji Nagata (Nre Japan), Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Fuminori Abe. 30 minute time limit
Result: Yuji Nagata, Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Fuminori Abe beat Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Kasai & Munenori Sawa. Nagata beat Takagi with Nagata Lock 2.

This event was basically the comedy portion of DDT with just a little actual wrestling thrown in. If you like the wacky humor this is your kind of event.

There probably will be more such events in 2026, just not sure when yet.

The next event, the first of 2026, is Saturday at Korakuen Hall. The event is a legit advance sellout. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET.

DDT 12/27/2025 & 12/28/2025 Results

DDT wrapped up their 2025 this weekend with a house show doubleheader in Nagoya.

Both events were held at Imaike Gas Hall in Nagoya and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Tuesday (yesterday’s event) and Wednesday (today’s event). There were no live broadcasts.

The paid attendance was not announced. Today’s event was a legit sellout.

Match 3: Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada beat Jun Akiyama, Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura. Honda pinned Yoshimura.

Match 4: HARASHIMA beat Takao Soma. This was Soma’s last match before an extended absence for treatment of a knee injury he’s worked through. Post-match, Soma vowed to return some time next year. HARASHIMA provided some optimism with his signature catch phrase these days-Because It’s Training/Practicing!

Match 5: MAO & KANON beat Yuki Ueno & Danshoku Dieno. KANON pinned Dieno after a lariat.

Main Event: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul, Demus & Illusion beat KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Champions To-y, Yuya Koroku, Daichi Sato, Yuki Ishida & Kazuma Sumi to win the titles. Sasaki, Okatani, Paul, Demus & Illusion become the 11th KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Champions. Illusion pinned Sumi after a swanton bomb.

The event ended with a Dieno & Ueno mini-talk show event instead of an ending announcement. They were perhaps hoping to go for a KO-D Tag Team Championship shot, but not so much after today.

The next event is a Sanshiro Takagi Produced Super Japan Pro Wrestling event tomorrow at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin TONIGHT at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET.

DDT Pro Wrestling 12/21/25 LIVE Results (Updated x2)

DDT runs their final Tokyo signature event of 2025 today, RING FINALE 2025, which is a misleading title because it’s not the final event of the year. But it’s the last big one loaded with 3 title matches. First up, To-y defends the DDT Extreme Championship against Yasu Urano in a “Finish it now!! If you can’t do it now, To-y loses!!” match where a lottery is held every 2 minutes and, after that, the match can only be won by pinfall or submission using that specific technique picked from social media (except for ring outs and DQs). And it’s only 10 minutes plus if it goes the distance, Urano wins the title. The second title match is MAO & KANON defending the KO-D Tag Team Championship against the outside intruding team of Jun Masaoka & Gaia Hox. Finally, in the main event Yuki Ueno defends the KO-D Openweight Championship against Takeshi Masada (this is not a double title match).

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. Aya Shibata, a former member of SKE48 who is currently a freelance announcer, will be the special guest on commentary. There is a pre-show match scheduled before the event, and the Extreme rules may shorten the running time a bit, however I anticipate with the pre-show match it will have a total running time of about 3 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Pre-show:
Takao Soma, Kazuma Sumi & Yuni vs. Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Daichi Sato & Rukiya
Main show:
Minoru Suzuki & Akito vs. Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku
Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, Demus & Illusion vs. Toru Owashi, Danshoku Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine & Kazuki Hirata
Shinya Aoki, Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya vs. Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida and Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai in a 3-way
Yuji Nagata (New Japan) & Sanshiro Takagi vs. HARASHIMA & Kaisei Takechi
DDT Extreme Champion To-y vs. Yasu Urano in a Finish it now!! If you can’t do it now, To-y loses!! match for the title. a lottery is held every 2 minutes and, after that, the match can only be won by pinfall or submission using that specific technique picked from social media (except for ring outs and DQs). If the match goes to a 10 minute time limit draw, Urano wins the title
KO-D Tag Team Champions MAO & KANON vs. Jun Masaoka & Gaia Hox for the titles
KO-D Openweight Champion Yuki Ueno vs. Takeshi Masada for the title

Pre-show match: Takao Soma, Kazuma Sumi & Yuni vs. Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Daichi Sato & Rukiya. 15 minute time limit
Result: Takao Soma, Kazuma Sumi & Yuni beat Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Daichi Sato & Rukiya. Soma pinned Matsunaga. Afterwards, Shunma Katsumata joined the winners in the ring to lead the crowd in a sendoff chant for Soma, who will be out indefinitely starting next month due to treatment for a knee injury. Then transitioned to NwA Jr. opening live.

Updates will resume when the main show begins (6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET).

Result: Shinya Aoki, Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya beat Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida and Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai in a 3-way when Iino pinned Kasai.

Your new host is Haruo Murata, taking over for Satoshi Dairaku.

Match 4: Yuji Nagata (New Japan) & Sanshiro Takagi vs. HARASHIMA & Kaisei Takechi. 30 minute time limit
Result: HARASHIMA & Kaisei Takechi beat Yuji Nagata & Sanshiro Takagi. Takechi pinned Takagi. Afterwards, Nagata put Takechi over before leaving and wished him good luck in his New Japan debut at the Tokyo Dome on 1/4.

Match 5: DDT Extreme Champion To-y vs. Yasu Urano in a Finish it now!! If you can’t do it now, To-y loses!! match for the title. a lottery is held every 2 minutes and, after that, the match can only be won by pinfall or submission using that specific technique picked from social media (except for ring outs and DQs). If the match goes to a time limit draw, Urano wins the title. 10 minute time limit
Result: DDT Extreme Champion To-y beat Yasu Urano to retain the title. V6 for To-y. With a big assist to the Matsui referee.

Match 6: KO-D Tag Team Champions MAO & KANON vs. Jun Masaoka & Gaia Hox for the titles. 1 Hour time limit
Result: KO-D Tag Team Champions MAO & KANON beat Jun Masaoka & Gaia Hox to retain the titles. KANON pinned Masaoka. V2 for the champs. As the winners finished their post-match promo, Yuki Iino came out and speared MAO. Yukio Naya was right behind. With microphone. Challenge issued, they want the titles back. It’s now official for after the new year.

Main Event: KO-D Openweight Champion Yuki Ueno vs. Takeshi Masada for the title. 1 Hour time limit
Result: KO-D Openweight Champion Yuki Ueno beat Takeshi Masada to retain the title. V4 for Ueno. Next up: Sasaki. Low blow to deliver his message then a beatdown until Brookes made the save. And bitch slapped Ueno for good measure. Following some bantering, Akito made it official-the next defense will be a 3-way. And for both titles with multiple falls is what it sounds like.

The next event is Wednesday at Shinjuku Face. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

UPDATE: Both title matches hinted at above will happen on 1/25. The 3-way will be an Irregular 2 Falls Double Title match-the first fall will be for the DDT Universal Championship, then the second fall will be for the KO-D Openweight Championship. Kaisei Takechi participation was also announced for 1/25.

UPDATE 2: In post-event backstage comments, it was revealed that Masada announced he will leave the Shadenfreude International faction after the 1/3 Korakuen event. That means it’ll be just Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda for now (and Masa Takanashi who remains out).

News: 2025 PWI Tag Team 100 Announced (SPOILERS!)

The last of what is now a year-end awards trilogy from Pro Wrestling Illustrated came out today, as we go down from 500 (wrestlers) to 250 (women) and now 100 (tag teams). The second PWI Tag Team 100 list was revealed today and features both men’s and women’s teams. Naturally I’ve browsed the list already so below are the top ranked teams and how various Japan-based teams fared.

Because this is only in digital format and the print edition will not be out for another 3 weeks or so, those waiting for the latter should stop here to avoid SPOILERS! Otherwise, click below.

DEVELOPING: Tokyo Sports Award Winners Announced

Tokyo Sports has announced their annual Pro Wrestling Award winners for 2025 on social media. Here are the winners:
MVP (top prize): Saya Kamitani, Stardom (First time ever a woman has won)
Match Of The Year: Kaito Kiyomiya vs. OZAWA, Pro Wrestling NOAH, 1/1/2025
Best Tag Team: OSKAR (The Grouch) & Yuto Ice (Ice Baby), New Japan
Special Achievement Award: Konosuke Takeshita, New Japan/DDT/All Elite Wrestling
Fighting Spirit Award: Sareee, Independent/Freelancer
Technique Prize: Hiroshi Tanahashi, New Japan
Women’s Grand Prize: Kamitani
Rookie Of The Year: Kaisei Takechi, DDT

Quick thoughts on the MVP: In my eyes there were only two real right choices-Kamitani and Takeshita. Either was a right choice but they nicely chose to recognize 2025 as the year of our PHENEX QUEEN in Stardom, and she undoubtedly was the top Japanese women’s wrestler in Japan (not counting the obvious ones that are on WWE or AEW full-time), but you can’t overlook everything Takeshita has accomplished between Japan and the US, that said his not being in Japan as much could have shifted the balance towards Kamitani but that Special Achievement for Takeshita is well-deserved. Rookie is a toss-up, Takechi no doubt was the most popular and with the biggest impact on DDT but one can only wonder what could have been had we not lost All-Japan rookie Taishin Nagao.

News: Absent DDT Wrestler Returning

Good news for DDT fans and especially those of NwA Jr., their male version of Tokyo Joshi Pro’s Up Up Girls-Yuni, who has been absent since summer, will return on 12/21 and be back to full-time going forward. Yuni went on hiatus in August to focus on education, specifically university/college entrance exams and preparation. Those were successful and he will now return to the promotion next week.

As a result, the 12/21 Korakuen Hall card has been changed for his return. What was a pre-show match of Takao Soma & Kazuma Sumi vs. Daichi Sato & Rukiya will now be Soma, Sumi & Yuni vs. Sato, Rukiya & Tokokitsu Matsunaga

DDT 12/3/25 Results

DDT began their December house show tour today in Tokyo with an event oddly titled GO UPDATE 2025.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The paid attendance was not announced.

Match 1: Takao Soma & Shota beat Yuya Koroku & Hinata Kasai. Soma pinned Kasai after Mad Splash. Although DDT announced Soma would be out several months due to treatment for a knee injury that absence will not start until 1/1 so he’ll finish the year before going on hiatus.

Match 2; Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda beat Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata. Honda pinned Hirata.

Match 3: Yuji Iino & Yukio Naya beat Hideki Okatani & Demus. Naya pinned Demus after The World’s Largest Backdrop.

Match 4: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & Illusion beat HARASHIMA, Akito & O-MENZ Kumadori. Illusion pinned Kumadori after a swanton bomb. Afterwards, Illusion demanded a potential final fight-a match against Kumadori, which may have already happened had it not been for a Kumadori injury earlier this year. That match will happen on 12/24.

Match 5: Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshinura & Yuki Ishida beat Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Tomomitsu Matdunaga. Ishida pinned Matsunaga.

Match 6: Jun Masaoka, Gaia Hox & Rukiya beat MAO, KANON & Kazuma Sumi. Masaoka inner Sumi after F-DRIVE 2.

Main Event: Yuki Ueno & To-y beat Taleshi Masada & Yasu Urano by ref stoppage (TKO). Ueno beat Masada with a blackout sleeper. Afterwards, Urano stole the DDT Extreme Championship belt from To-y and declared himself UNOFFICIAL Champion, leading Akito to announce an OFFICIAL title match where To-y will defend against Urano. That match will happen on 12/21 at Korakuen Hall. Rules TBA.

The next event is 12/14 at Yume Messe Miyagi in Sendai. There will be no live broadcast. On demand on 12/17.
