Injury Report: GLEAT Passes A Bad Check

And after a short break the body count across Japan further rises as injuries continue to pile up. GLEAT does sometimes make the bad puns easy for me, as in this case as they announced the latest casualty is Check Shimatani. Left arm and left side. Out indefinitely but translation noted “severe pain” so it probably will be a while, however this is pending further examination by doctors. He is off the 2/2 event and, while they were not mentioned specifically, it appears corresponding card changes have already been made.

More as it becomes available.

BREAKING: GLEAT Wrestler Retires (Updated)

While they haven’t posted today’s results yet, GLEAT has announced breaking news: Yukari Hosokawa, one of the female wresters on their roster, has retired effective immediately. However, the door was potentially open for a return as Hosokawa is only 19. She began training in 2017 in HEAT UP under the tutelage of current GLEAT wrestler Yu Iizuka before officially debuting in 2019. She had never won a singles match but had some success in tag team matches.

UPDATE: Now it’s GLEAT Wrestlers Retiring. Also announced during the event was that Kaz Hayashi will retire on 7/1/24 at GLEAT’s annual biggest event of the year when they run GLEAT Ver. 12 at TDC Hall.
