Injury Report: Rotten Eel Is Not GLEAT

That bad pun doesn’t make a lot of sense if you don’t know Japanese, specifically that “unagi” means “eel” in English. That’s how I know translations refer to Sayaka Unagi as they often come out as “eel Sayaka”, unfortunately she is the latest GLEAT injury casualty. Lateral meniscus. Out indefinitely and off the promotion’s 3/12 event. She was to have teamed with Nanami Hatano, Kakeru Sekiguchi & Honori Hana to face MICHIKO, ChiChi, Riara & Chanyota. Replacement TBA if there will be one.

More as it becomes available.

GLEAT 2/11/2026 Results (Updated)

GLEAT Ver. 23, the promotion’s latest signature series event, was held earlier today.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 619. BOOYAKA BOOYAKA! (It should also be noted they used a significantly reduced-capacity setup, no opposite-camera bleacher seating. They also claimed in the last few days that ticket sales more than doubled, before about a week ago they only were at around 300)

Match 1: Junjie, Tetsuya Izuchi, Kohei Kinoshita & Andy Wu beat Minoru Tanaka, Kotaro Suzuki, Ryuji Hijinata & Ryo Aitaka. Junjie pinned Aitaka after a rolling lariat.

Match 2: Soma Watanabe, Black Andromeda & TBA, revealed at match time to be Ryota Hama, Takanoti Ito, Andy Panda & Van Vale Jack. Andromeda pinned Panda after an open moonsault press.

Match 3: In a GLEAT MMA No Gi Grappling Bout with 10 1-minute rounds, Yu Iizuka vs. Caol Uno went to a time limit draw.

Match 8: Lidet UWF Songle Bout: Lidet UWF Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima beat Shinya Aoki by submission to retain the title. V7 for Nakajima.

Main Event: G-REX Champion El Lindaman beat Ryuichi Kawakami to retain the title. V4 for Lindaman. Afterwards, Brass Knuckles JUN came out and left Kawakami’s Anti-GLEAT Monsters faction and Kawakami announced no more monster/shaman/silly gimmicks like his latest “Shaman” one. Back to just plain old Ryuichi Kawakami.

The next event is Lidet UWF Vol. 8 on 3/8 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. Broadcast plans TBA but since it’s Tokyo I anticipate it will be live on YouTube…if so, it would begin on 3/7 at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET.

UPDATE: Pass the salt for this one, but Tokyo Sports reports Katsuhiko Nakajima is hinting at sealing the Lidet UWF Championship and, based on follow-up comments by Soma Watanabe, that could mean the end of Lidet UWF. Tokyo Sports is closer to “dirt sheets” level than outlets like Weekly Pro, Nikkan Sports and others so consider this a 50-50 thing and possibly just an angle.
