Stardom 1/13/25 LIVE Results

Stardom continues the NEW YEAR STARS 2025 Tour today in Tokyo with their first Korakuen Hall event of the year. 3 title matches headline today’s event-first up, the High Speed Championship sees a new rule set implemented as Saki Kashima tries to win the title back from Mei Seira in a 2/3 Falls match with only a 10 minute time limit. The second title match is a Ring Of Honor Women’s World Championship match as the seemingly unbeatable champion Athena defends against Thekla. Finally, an Artist Of Stardom Championship match is set after a mini-tournament concluded yesterday, which perpahs unfairly means Cosmic Angels keeps the title either way because Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Natsupoi defend against faction mates Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara. Safe to say the challengers winning would be a massive upset.

There will be several absences (and a lot less star power as a result) from today’s event-Mayu Iwatani, Maika, HANAKO, AZM & Mina Shirakawa due to New Japan participation in the US last night and Ruaka is out due to her coming-of-age-ceremony (a ritual in Japan when one reaches full/legal adult age).

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. It’s not yet known if there will be any commentary. There are 7 matches set so far and with no match likely to go more than 30 minutes including the title matches I anticipate today’s event having a running time of just over 2 hours, depending on whether or not there’s an intermission. If there is, bump the estimate up to 2 1/4 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Hina vs. Matoi Hamabe & Fukigen in a 3-way
Rian & Waka Tsukiyama vs. Natsuko Tora & Momo Watanabe
Syuri, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C, Ranna Yagami & Kiyoka Kokatsu vs. Hanan, Saya Iida, Hazuki, Koguma & Momo Kohgo
Starlight Kid, Suzu Suzuki & Miyu Amasaki vs. Saya Kamitani, Rina & Azusa Inaba
High Speed Champion Mei Seira vs. Saki Kashima in a 2/3 Falls Match for the title
ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Thekla for the title
Artist Of Stardom Champions Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Natsupoi vs. Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara for the titles

6:25 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Crowd still filing in but they have the higher-capacity setup in place (more than DDT & Tokyo Joshi Pro use opposite hard camera) but outside of that it’s maybe half full so far. Looking like on track for 850-900. Today is a national holiday in Japan for the record. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1233)

The matches should begin in about 10 minutes. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube, which will be the High Speed Championship match. The ROH Women’s Championship is the semifinal and the Artist Of Stardom Championship match is the main event.

The matches begin at 6:33 PM PT/9:33 PM ET. The new High Speed title match rules are explained to the crowd first.

Result: Saya Kamitani, Rina & Azusa Inaba beat Starlight Kid, Suzu Suzuki & Miyu Amsaski. Inaba pinned Amasaki. Afterwards, Inaba with microphone. Future Of Stardom Championship challenge issued. Seemingly accepted. When we thought they were done, Kamitani with microphone. Words for Suzuki, who it sounds like might be next for the World Of Stardom Championship. Kamitani told Suzuki to lick her boot…so Suzuki bit it instead.

Quick break for ring cleaning.

Intermission.

The matches resume at 8:10 PM PT/11:10 PM PT.

Match 6: ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Thekla for the title. 30 minute time limit
Result: ROH Women’s World Champion Athena beat Thekla to retain the title. Post-match, Thekla & Athena promo in English. Thekla wants another match. Athena agreed, but in the US instead. Athena then addressed the crowd in English. It’s her first time competing in Japan, and she thanked the crowd in Japanese. She hopes to be back in the future, and I think there is no doubt she will be back in Japan soon.

Main Event: Artist Of Stardom Champions Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Natsupoi vs. Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara for the titles. 30 minute time limit
Result: Artist Of Stardom Champions Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Natsupoi beat Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara to retain the titles. Nakano pinned Kurara after Violet Screwdriver. V1 for the champs. Mizumori apparently was busted open during the match as she had a bloody nose afterwards.

The next event is Friday at Matsuyama Community Center Special Exhibition Hall in Ehime. There will be no live broadcast.

Stardom News: Annual Faction Tournament Announced

Unlike in most women’s promotions in Japan, faction warfare is an integral part of Stardom (Dragon Gate may be the best example as a whole of faction warfare in Japan). Today the promotion announced their annual faction tournament for upcoming events later this month, here’s how it will work:
All 6 current factions-Stars, Cosmic Angels, God’s Eye, E neXus V, Neo Genesis, H.A.T.E.-will participate in 2 3-team blocks. All matches will be 6-women tag matches, 2/3 Falls, 30 minute time limit, participants on each team are not announced until the match begins and each faction member must participate in at least one of their two matches. That puts H.A.T.E. in an impossible predicament because they have 7 members so they all can’t be in 2 different matches. The other factions all have 5 or 6. However, the participation rule is waived if one or more wrestlers in a faction can’t participate due to injury.
After the matches are concluded, the winners of each block advance to a championship match and the tournament winners get 2 title shots of their choice as long as they are Stardom titles (so not the IWGP Women’s Championship or STRONG Women’s Championship as those are New Japan titles). If there is a tie, the tiebreaker is match result. If said match was a draw, there will be a rematch (1 Fall, 30 minute time limit). The Final will be a 30 minute match between all members of a faction, possibly with 1 minute intervals, most total falls wins.

The blocks are as follows:
Red-Stars, God’s Eye, E neXus V
Blue-Cosmic Angels, Neo Genesis, H.A.T.E.
The matches:
1/17 (Matsuyama Community Center Special Exhibition Hall, Ehime)-Stars vs. E neXus V, Cosmic Angels vs. Neo Genesis
1/18 (Osaka Prefectural Gym 2, Osaka)-Stars vs. God’s Eye, Neo Genesis vs. H.A.T.E.
1/19 (Osaka Prefectural Gym 2)-God’s Eye vs. E neXus V, Cosmic Angels vs. H.A.T.E.
1.23 (Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, Tokyo)-Final
The promotion also announced Hanan will not be part of the 1/19 event due to Diana participation. Events will also have non-tournament matches.

As far as Stardom World broadcasts, no live broadcast on 1/17 (on demand later), live on 1/18 & 1/19 (1/18 start in the US), TBA for 1/23 (I anticipate live but I sense they’ll try to be sneaky and force a PPV since it’s also the promotion’s 14th Anniversary event).

Stardom 1/3/25 Results (Updated)

Stardom kicked off their 2025 today with STARDOM NEW YEAR DREAM 2025.

Today’s event was held at Tokyo Garden Theater in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World. It will be available to all monthly subcribers without additional paywalls on or after 1/11. You can also watch, between the pre-show and the main card, the first 5 matches FOR FREE on YouTube. (Disclaimer: These are quick results from Wikipedia as Stardom won’t post them for a day or so, they may not be 100% accurate) (UPDATE: Proper results below updated on 1/4)

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 2054)

Pre-show:
Match 1: Mizuki Kato & Yuma Makoto beat Rian & Honoka. Kato pinned Rian after Rebuilt Canadian Backbreaker.

Match 2: Nanami (Diana) & Lady C beat Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo. Nanami pinned Kohgo with a Noerthern Lights suplex hold.

Match 2: Saki Kashima beat Yuna Mizumori, Cohaku, Waka Tsukiyama & Matoi Hamabe in a 5-way battle royal, last eliminating Mizumori. As a result, Kashima will get the next High Speed Championship shot.

Match 4: Rina & Ruaka beat Manami (Sendai Girls) & Hanan. Ruaka pinned Hanan after Freezer Bomb.

Match 5: Sendai Girls Junior Champion ChiChi beat Aya Sakura to retain the title. V2 for ChiChi. Next up: Possibly Yagami.

Main Event: Suzu Suzuki & Starlight Kid beat Saya Kamitani & Momo Watanabe. Suzuki pinned Kamitani with a German suplex hold.

The next event is 1/11 at Chunichi Hall in Nagoya for a doubleheader. Broadcast plans TBA. (UPDATE: There will be no live broadcast for both events)

Injury Report: Wrong Konami Code

Maybe UUDDLRLRBASS doesn’t have the same effect as when it gave you 30 lives…At Stardom’s PPV Sunday a match between Syuri & Konami went to a DQ win for Syuri in just 33 seconds when H.A.T.E. interfered. And maybe we now know why…Konami was injured in the match. Undisclosed/unspecified. Out indefinitely and will miss the next event on 1/3. She was not yet announced for the event and is not in the final lineup. It’s not yet known how long she may be out, with the next event after Friday set for 1/11.

More as it becomes available.

Stardom 12/29/24 Results (Updated x2)

STARDOM DREAM QUEENDOM 2024, the promotion’s year-end blowout event, took place earlier today. Below are quick results I found since the promotion is always slow to post results, more details will be added later.

Today’s event was held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World in Japanese & English for around $30 US. Ami Sohrei was a guest on Japanese commentary while Xena was a guest on English commentary. It will be available to all monthly subscribers on or after 1/11/25. You can also watch the pre-show and the first PPV match FOR FREE on YouTube.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. Based on advance ticket sales I think they’ll do a bit better than DDT did yesterday there with a reduced capacity setup, which was 3579 (near sellout). 4500-5000 sounds possible. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 4023, a legit sellout)

Pre-show:
Match 1: Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura beat ChiCHI (Evolution) & Matoi Hamabe. Mizumori pinned Hamabe.
Match 2: Ranna Yagami vs. Sayaka Kurara went to a 15 minute time limit draw.

PPV:
Match 1: Hanan & Saya Iida beat Goddesses Of Stardom Champions Momo Watanabe & Thekla to win the titles. Hanan & Iida become the 35th Goddesses Of Stardom Champions. Hanan pinned Thekla with a backdrop hold. Probably the most slam-dunk result given how much trouble Thekla has caused lately and Watanabe seems in line for a singles push again. Nonetheless, it caps off the true breakout 2024 for Hanan and cements her as THE future of Stardom. She should be singles champion soon and many times over to come.

Match 2; Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian beat Saki Kashima, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C & Hina and Rina, Azusa Inaba, Ruaka & Fukigen in a 3-way when Shirakawa pinned Fukigen.

Match 3: AZM, Mei Seira, Suzu Suzuki & Miyu Amasaki beat Mayu Iwatani, Momo Kohgo, Hazuki & Koguma. AZM pinned Kohgo after Azumi Sushi.

Match 4: Saori Anou beat Mika Iwata (Sendai Girls).

Match 5: Syuri beat Konami by DQ in 33 seconds. H.A.T.E. interference. Former GLEAT wrestler Maya Fukuda then appeared and made the save, seemingly aligning with Syuri and hinting at joining Stardom in 2025.

Match 6: In a No DQ Match. Natsuko Tora beat Maika.

Match 7: Starlight Kid beat Wonder Of Stardom Champion Natsupoi to win the title. Kid becomes the 24th Wonder Of Stardom Champion. At last, you could say.

Main Event: Saya Kamitani beat World Of Stardom Champion Tam Nakano to win the title. Kamitani becomes the 20th World Of Stardom Champion. And righted the wrongs that was the 5STAR GP and fallout. Nakano never should have gotten a title shot after starting 0-3 and going winless then winning the title from Tora, even with the logical explanation she only lost the title at the end of December 2023 due to having to vacate it (injury). This result, like it or not, saved Stardom’s 2024 to me. Tam Road has ended and the queen is dead. Long Live The Phenex Queen! As for Nakano, now she has to deal with the returning Sayaka Unagi.

The next event is STARDOM NEW YEAR DREAM 2025 Friday at Tokyo Garden Theater in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA but the current lineup which includes 3 potential pre-show matches suggests it could be, albeit on very late notice, another PPV. If there is a live broadcast on Stardm World, PPV or not, it should begin Thursday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.

UPDATE: PPV again Friday on Stardom World. 4400 yen/around $30 US. Non-PPV version available on or after 1/11 (may now be 4680 yen). It will be available in Japanese and English with Ami Sohrei & Xena as guests again on the Japanese & English versions, respectively.

UPDATE 2: After this event, Hazuki & Koguma went to the OZ Academy year-event at Korakuen Hall and beat Ryo Mizunami & Sonoko Kato to win the OZ Academy Tag Team Championship. Hazuki & Koguma become the 40th Champions. Next defense upcoming likely is against Mizunami & Cohaku.

Stardom 12/26/24 Results

Stardom ran the final NEW BLOOD event of the year today, the 17th installment of their showcase series for younger & less-experienced wrestlers.

Today’s event was held at New Sun Pier Takeshiba in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube. You can watch the entire event below (the matches begin at the 11 minute mark):

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. It’s a small venue and wasn’t full capacity but from what I can see at the start it looks like between 150-200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 215)

Match 1: Cohaku (Sendai Girls) beat Matoi Hamabe.

Match 2: Tomoka Inaba, Hina & Ranna Yagami beat Himiko, Mitsuki Kato & Yuma Makoto (Diana). Hina pinned Makoto.

Match 3: Yuna Mizumori & Tam Nakano beat Sumika Yanagawa & Misa Kami (JTO). Nakano beat Yanagawa.

Match 4: Honoka (WAVE) beat Rian.

Intermission.

Match 5: Saori Anou, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara beat ZONES, ChiChi & Sai (Evolution). Sakura pinned ChiChi after a spinning right head kick.

Main Event: Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO beat New Blood Tag Team Champions Rina & Azusa Inaba to win the titles. Tsukiyama & HANAKO become the 4th New Blood Tag Team Champions. HANAKO pinned Rina after JP Coaster. Well, that’s one title record Rina won’t take away from big sister Hanan (she eclipsed Hanan’s Future Of Stardom Championship records before losing to Miyu Amasaki a couple months ago, which Stardom promptly cranked out special merchandise to profit off of). Afterwards, the new champs brought all the event’s participants out, including keeping reluctant Rina & Inaba in the ring, for the year-end group photo ops to end the show.

The next event is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2024, the year-end blowout event, Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming as a PPV on Stardom World for 4400 Japanese yen (about $30 US) will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. PPV purchase includes unlimited replays until the morning of 1/10/25. It will be available on demand on Stardom World for all monthly paying subscribers on or after 1/11/25. You will also be able to watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube.

In other news, the 1/3/25 year-opening event will also be a PPV, and it was announced that All Elite Wrestling’s Tay Melo (formerly Tay Conti) will return after a year-plus absence at this event. Melo has been away since she had her first child with her husband, AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara, in November 2023. She had recently been training to prepare for her return, but it not happening in AEW is quite a surprise.

Stardom 12/24/24 Results

The paid attendance has not been announced. Looked to be around 1000. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1009)

Pre-show match: 2 new trainees, Akira & Yuria, held a 5-minute exhibition match that went the distance. Maika was referee. They briefly continued to fight after the time limit.

Match 1: High Speed Champion Mei Seira beat Momo Kohgo to retain the title. V3 for Seira.

Match 2: Rina, Azusa Inaba & Fukigen beat HANAKO, Waka Tsukiyama & Rian. Inaba pinned Tsukiyama after Kamigoye.

Match 3: Saki Kashima beat Koguma & Matoi Hamabe in a 3-way by pinning Hamabe.

Match 4: Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura beat AZM, Suzu Suzuki & Cohaku (Sendai Girls) and Ranna Yagami, Tomoka Inaba & Nanami (Diana) when Anou pinned Inaba.

Match 5: Mayu Iwatani & Hazuki beat Hina & Lady C. Iwatani pinned Hina after a moonsault press.

Match 6: Syuri, Maika, Mina Shirakawa, Hanan & Saya Iida vs. Natsuko Tora, Momo Watanabe, Thekla, Konami & Ruaka went to a double countout. Out of control brawl all over the venue.

Match 7: Future Of Stardom Champion Miyu Amasaki beat Sayaka Kurara to retain the title. V1 for Amasaki.

Main Event: Tam Nakano & Natsupoi beat Saya Kamitani & Starlight Kid. Nakano pinned Kamitani. Afterwards, a PPV preview video followed then the roster except for H.A.T.E. gathered in the ring for the year-end group photo ops to end the show.

The next event is NEW BLOOD 17 Thursday at New Pier Hall Takeshiba in Tokyo. Live streaming FOR FREE only on YouTube will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET.

The final event of the year is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2024 Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. The PPV will cost 4400 Japanese yen or about $29 US and will include the live broadcast and unlimited replays until 1/10 at 1 AM PT/4 AM ET. Stardom 12/22/24 LIVE Results (Updated x2)

Stardom finishes up their weekend tripleheader today in Tokyo, headlined by the last 4-way match that will fill out the International Women’s Cup 4-way match at WRESTLE DYNASTY on 1/5 at the Tokyo Dome. The winner today will represent Stardom against All Elite Wrestling, Ring Of Honor & CMLL and, based on the participants, I would call anyone but Syuri winning an upset as she’s up against Suzu Suzuki, Tomoka Inaba & Momo Watanabe. Anyone could win of course but I don’t see any of them beating Syuri, although Watanabe is the wild card because of potential H.A.T.E. interference. Also, after returning yesterday, Thekla apparently had her 3 week suspension lifted a couple days early as it was to go through today but she is on the card.

Today’s event will be held at Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World (the new relaunch mainly was a re-do of the website and the video archives with no real changes to streaming and still some issues present from before, albeit minor ones). There will be no commentary. The 4-way will have no time limit and there are 7 matches total, yesterday’s event ran a big longer than I predicted so today I’ll guess the event’s running time will be about 2 1/4 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Yuna Mizumori vs. Rian
AZM vs. Waka Tsukiyama & Aya Sakura in a 3-way
Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki & Koguma vs. Saki Kashima, Hina & Ranna Yagami
Hanan, Saya Iida & Matoi Hamabe vs. Konami, Rina & Thekla
Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara & Momo Kohgo vs. Mei Seira, Starlight Kid & Miyu Amasaki
Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Maika vs. Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani & Ruaka
International Women’s Cup Qualifier: Syuri vs. Suzu Suzuki, Tomoka Inaba & Momo Watanabe in a 4-way

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.

6:40 PM PT UPDATE: There has been a last-minute change to today’s event-AZM is now off. The always-vague poor health. The 3-way is now a single match (Tsukiyama vs. Sakura)

7:50 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun. Updates will begin in a few minutes.

8 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced sometime tomorrow. Looks like a similar setup to Tokyo Joshi Pro yesterday and mostly full from what I can see. That has me thinking it’ll be around 400. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 489)

Today’s lineup rundown opens the event. The 4-way International Women’s Cup Qualifier is today’s main event.

The matches begin at 8:05 PM PT/11:05 PM ET.

Match 1: Yuna Mizumori vs. Rian. 15 minute time limit
Result: Yuna Mizumori beat Rian by submission

Match 2: Waka Tsukiyama vs. Aya Sakura. 15 minute time limit
Result: Waka Tsukiyama beat Aya Sakura

Match 3: Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki & Koguma vs. Saki Kashima, Hina & Ranna Yagami. 20 minute time limit
Result: Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki & Koguma beat Saki Kashima, Hina & Ranna Yagami. Hazuki pinned Hina.

Match 4: Hanan, Saya Iida & Matoi Hamabe vs. Konami, Rina & Thekla. 20 minute time limit
Result: Konami, Rina & Thekla beat Hanan, Saya Iida & Matoi Hamabe. Thekla pinned Hanan after Poisonous Spider Drop. Thekla continued to beat down Hanan afterwards and Konami prevented Iida from making the save.

Match 5: Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara & Momo Kohgo vs. Mei Seira, Starlight Kid & Miyu Amasaki. 20 minute time limit
Result: Mei Seira, Starlight Kid & Miyu Amasaki beat Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara & Momo Kohgo. Seira pinned Kohgo after a sitout powerbomb.

Intermission.

The matches resume at 9:50 PM PT (5 minute break).

Match 6: Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Maika vs. Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani & Ruaka. 30 minute time limit
Result: Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Maika beat Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani & Ruaka. Maika pinned Ruaka after Michinoku Driver 2. Afterwards, Maika stopped to interact with several young children in the crowd and send them home very happy.

Main Event: International Women’s Cup Qualifier: Syuri vs. Suzu Suzuki, Tomoka Inaba & Momo Watanabe in a 4-way. No time limit
Result: Momo Watanabe beat Syuri, Suzu Suzuki & Tomoka Inaba in a 4-way by pinning Inaba. As a result, Watanabe advances to the International Women’s Cup 4-way on 1/5 at the Tokyo Dome as the Stardom representative. Upset!

The next event is STARDOM YEAREND X’MAS NIGHT 2024 Tuesday at Korakuen Ball. Live streaming on Stardom World AND YouTube will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET, and best of all you can watch on both platforms FOR FREE!

UPDATE 2: An open practice session between two trainees, Akira & Yuria (guessing from translation), has been added to Tuesday. This will be a pre-show match starting 20 minutes before the event. It’s not known if it will be part of the Stardom World and/or YouTube broadcasts.
