Stardom 3/9/25 Results

Stardom continues the 2025 Cinderella Tournament today with the Quarterfinals. The field started with 16 hopefuls but is now down to 6 and, because of 2 extra eliminations due to time limit draws, there’s already one in the Semifinals as Azusa Inaba got a free pass because both early favorite HANAKO & Aya Sakura got kicked out due to said draw. But Inaba will still be in non-tournament action as part of 5 other matches in addition to the 3 Quarterfinals. Defending tournament winner Hanan will also look to keep her repeat bid alive and advance to the Semifinals.

Today’s event will be held at Kariya City Industrial Promotion Center Aioi Hall in Aichi and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. There probably will be no commentary. After a 13-match marathon yesterday there are only 8 matches scheduled today so I anticipate a total running time of around 2 1/2 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Mayu Iwatani, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo vs. Tam Nakano, Yuna Muzmori & Aya Sakura
Azusa Inaba vs. Akira Kurogame
HANAKO vs. Yutia Hime
Syuti, Saki Kashima, Hina & Tomoka Inaba vs. Maika, Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama & Rian
AZM, Starlight Kid, Suzu Suzuki & Mei Seira vs. Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Konami & Ruaka
Cinderella Tournament Quarterfinals:
Sayaka Kurara vs. Ranna Yagami
Hanan vs. Miyu Amasaki
Tabata vs. Rina

Updates below will begin at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.

UPDATE (Pre-show): You will also be able to watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube. It looks like that will be the 6-woman tag.

9 PM PT UPDATE: For now there’s no live Stardom World feed so we may only have the first match via YouTube for now. So unless this is promptly fixed, no live results.

9:05 PM PT UPDATE: No live results due to issues with Stardom World not having live broadcast as advertised. I think I’m going to be cancelling my subscription after this month, their so-called “upgrade/rebirth/whatever” at the start of the year has not made the service any better. Compared to sister service New Japan World it’s awful.

9:20 PM PT UPDATE: Live stream was delayed until now due to connection problems and has been restored. However, I will not be joining in progress.

UPDATE (Post-event): Here are the full results:

The announced paid attendance was 678.

Match 1: Mayu Iwatani, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo beat Tam Nakano (Independent/Freelancer), Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura. Iida pinned Mizumori after a lariat.

Match 2: Azusa Inaba beat Akira Kurogame.

Match 3: HANAKO beat Yuria Hime.

Match 4: Syuri, Saki Kashima, Hina & Tomoka Inaba beat Maika, Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama & Rian. Kashima pinned Rian.

Cinderella Tournament Quarterfinals:
Match 5: Rina beat Tabata.
Match 6: Hanan beat Miyu Amasaki.
Match 7: Sayaka Kurara beat Ranna Yagami.
As a result, the Semifinals will be Kurara vs. Azusa Inaba and Rina vs. Hanan (little sister vs. big sister). If Hanan beats Ring she will make the Finals for the second straight year-she won the tournament last year.

Main Event: Starlight Kid, MeI Seira, AZM & Suzu Suzuki beat Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Konami & Ruaka. Kid pinned Konami.

The Finals are Saturday at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin at 12:30 AM PT/3:30 AM ET-further details are TBA because it will be another PPV.

Stardom 3/8/25 Results

Stardom held the first round of the annual Cinderella Tournament today, a spotlight event for younger & less experienced talent that can be a launching pad for the eventual champion’s future.

Today’s event was held at Yokohama Budokan in Yokohama and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World until 3/14 for 2000 Japanese yen (around $13 US), after which time it should be available without additional payment for all monthly Stardom World subscribers. Match 10: Maika & Mina Shirakawa beat Natsuko Tora & Thekla by DQ. Thekla DQ’d.

Cinderella Tournament Round 1:
Match 11: HANAKO vs. Aya Sakura went to a 15 minute time limit draw. As a result, both are OUT.
Match 12: Hanan beat Tomoka Inaba.
As a result of Match 11, because Inaba would have faced the HANAKO-Sakura winner but a draw means both are eliminated, Inaba will instead advance to the Semifinals.

Main Event: Saya Kamitani & Konami beat Tam Nakano (Independent/Freelancer) & Starlight Kid. Konami pinned Kid after a face kick.

Injury Report: Lady C apparently suffered an undisclosed injury in her match today. Out tomorrow.

The Tournament Quarterfinals are tomorrow. The Quarterfinals are Kurara vs. Yagami, Hanan vs. Amasaki and Rina vs. Tabata. Inaba will face the Kurara-Yagami winner in the Semifinals. The Quarterfinals are 15 minute time limit with over the top rope rules. If it’s a time limit draw, both are eliminated.

The next event is tomorrow at Kariya City Industrial Promotion Center Aioi Hall in Aichi. Live streaming on Stardom World (no PPV for this one) will begin TONIGHT at 9 PM PT/midnight ET. For those watching in the eastern US, remember the time change forward at 2 AM!

Injury Report: Falling Angels (Updated)

It’s a really bad time to be part of Cosmic Angels in Stardom-recently they’ve lost all their titles, their leader in Tam Nakano (now forced to be a freelancer and possibly retiring on 4/27) and now Natsupoi for the time being. Undisclosed injury. Out indefinitely but at least a week, probably 3/9 for sure as it’s including the next event. Technically 3/8 is the next event but it will only have Cinderella Tournament matches. No further details were announced pending further examinations.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Indefinitely is at least a week because Tokyo Sports reports Natsupoi is now off a Sareee-produced event on 3/10 that she was scheduled to be on. Saori Anou is the replacement.

Stardom 3/3/25 Results (Updated)

Stardom ran a weekday night event in Tokyo today, a big event with major ramifications for the future of the promotion based on the main event.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. You can also watch the main event FOR FREE on YouTube. Today’s event has Japanese commentary with Haruo Murata & Ami Sohrei among others. Having commentary & onscreen graphics suggests this may have also been a live Samurai! TV broadcast in Japan.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced but it was a legit advance sellout with standing room only tickets sold today. (UPDATE: The paid attendance was not announced)

Match 1: Aya Sakura & Akira Kurogame beat HANAKO & Yuria Hime. Sakura pinned Hime.

Match 2: Suzu Suzuki, Lluvia (CMLL) & Tabata (CMLL) beat Hazuki, Koguma & Momo Kohgo. Lluvia pinned Kohgo after a modified Gory Bomb.

Match 3: Konami, Ruaka, Rina & Azusa Inaba beat Natsupoi, Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori & Sayaka Kurara. Rina pinned Kurara after Pink Devil. Quite an exciting day for Rina as she posted earlier in the day on social media that she had just graduated from high school.

Match 4: Syuri, Saki Kashima & Hina beat Saya Iida, Hanan & Mayu Iwatani in 35 seconds. Kashima pinned Hanan.

Match 5: Momo Watanabe, Thekla & Natsuko Tora beat Maika, Rian & Waka Tsukiyama. Thekla pinned Rian after Poisonous Spider Drop.

Match 6: In a 3 Falls Match, High Speed Champion Mei Seira beat Fukigen 2-1 to retain the title. V5 for Seira.

Match 7: Artist Of Stardom Champions AZM, Starlight Kid & Miyu Amasaki beat Lady C, Ranna Yagami & Tomoka Inaba to retain the titles. AZM pinned C after Numero Uno. V1 for the champs.

Main Event: In a Loser Leaves Stardom Match, Saya Kamitani beat Tam Nakano. As a result, Nakano must leave Stardom. Bur first…because this is how god-awful the booking/matchmaking in Stardom has been since last summer…rematch on 4/27 for the World Of Stardom Championship held by Kamitani. AND…the loser must RETIRE. Well, hopefully that means the official end of Tam Road for good. It better be.

The next event is the 2025 Cinderella Tournament starting Saturday at Yokohama Budokan in Yokohama. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV will begin Friday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET. This is the annual tournament for younger and less-experienced wrestlers and can help launch the winner to new heights in their career, plus the winner also received a Cinderella-style gown. The entire field for the tournament, which is single-elimination bracket format, was also announced today: Yuria Hime, Akira Kurogame, Rian, Ranna Yagami, Sayaka Kurara, HANAKO, Aya Sakura, Miyu Amasaki, Lady C, Hina, Rina, Ruaka, Tabata, Azusa Inaba, Tomoka Inaba, Hanan.
Hanan won last year’s tournament and will be going for 2 straight-since winning the tournament last year she has gone on to become the current Goddesses Of Stardom Champion.

Also, Stardom has completely re-done their website effective today (3/4 Japan time). It also appears they have launched an official app, but only in Japan.

UPDATE: Following the main event, President Taro Okada has announced that Nakano’s Stardom contract has been/will be terminated and she will no longer be exclusive to the promotion. Nakano will now be a freelancer.

We are LIVE from Belle Salle Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a very small-looking setup, may not even be 100. It’s not fully sold out. They’ll probably overstate it but from what I see I’m going to guess about 80. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 178)

The matches will begin momentarily. The tournament matches are first. The title match is the main event.

The matches begin at 8:03 PM PT/11:03 PM ET.

Match 1: New Blood Tag Team Championship Next Challenger Tournament:
Aya Sakura & Yuna Mizumori vs. Kaori Yoneyama (muted entrance music, darn copyrights) & Rian. No time limit

Intermission.

The matches resume at 9:25 PM PT/12:25 AM ET (10 minute break).

Match 5: New Blood Tag Team Championship Next Challenger Tournament Finals: Aya Sakura & Yuna Mizumori vs. Hina & Ranna Yagami. No time limit
Result: Aya Sakura & Yuna Mizumori beat Hina & Ranna Yagami to win the tournament. Sakura pinned Yagami. As a result, Sakura & Mizumori get the next New Blood Tag Team Championship shot after the main event. When is TBA but based on the current schedule it could be 3/27.

Main Event: New Blood Tag Team Champions Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO vs. Nanami & Himiko (Diana) for the titles. 20 minute time limit
Result: New Blood Tag Team Champions Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO beat Nanami & Himiko to retain the titles. Tsukiyama pinned Himiko after a swanton bomb. V1 for the champs. Next up: As noted above, Sakura & Mizumori. Question now is when but I think it’ll be 3/27 after the Cinderella Tournament.

The next NEW BLOOD event is 3/27 at Shinagawa Intercity Hall in Tokyo and will stream live on YouTube at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.

The next event is tomorrow at TKP Garden City Chiba in Chiba. There will be no live broadcast.

For the next major event Monday at Korakuen Hall, that event will be live on Stardom World, and in an unusual move you will also be able to watch the main event (Tam Nakano vs. Saya Kamitani in a Loser Leaves Stardom match, this is a NON-TITLE match with regards to the World Of Stardom Championship held by Kamitani) LIVE FOR FREE on YouTube. That will be followed by the Cinderella Tournament 2025 on 3/8, 3/9 and 3/15. 3/9 will be live on Stardom World but 3/8 and 3/15 will be PPVs. In fact, there are a ridiculous FOUR PPVs this month which also includes 3/20 & 3/22 in Okinawa. Tomorrow is the only non-live event all month (3/29 & 3/30 are live, 3/27 will be YouTube for NEW BLOOD 20).

As a result, Nakano can demand any one thing she wants from Kamitani and Kurara gets to stay in Cosmic Angels. (Which, much to my to-be-dismay, will almost certainly be a World Of Stardom Championship rematch) (UPDATE: On 3/3 it will be Nakano vs. Kamitani again but this time the loser must leave Stardom)

Match 7: Hina beat Future Of Stardom Champion Miyu Amasaki to win the title. Hina becomes the 12th Future Of Stardom Champion. Now all 3 of the sisters have held that championship.
