Injury Report: Wrong Konami Code

Maybe UUDDLRLRBASS doesn’t have the same effect as when it gave you 30 lives…At Stardom’s PPV Sunday a match between Syuri & Konami went to a DQ win for Syuri in just 33 seconds when H.A.T.E. interfered. And maybe we now know why…Konami was injured in the match. Undisclosed/unspecified. Out indefinitely and will miss the next event on 1/3. She was not yet announced for the event and is not in the final lineup. It’s not yet known how long she may be out, with the next event after Friday set for 1/11.

More as it becomes available.

Stardom 12/29/24 Results (Updated x2)

STARDOM DREAM QUEENDOM 2024, the promotion’s year-end blowout event, took place earlier today. Below are quick results I found since the promotion is always slow to post results, more details will be added later.

Today’s event was held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World in Japanese & English for around $30 US. Ami Sohrei was a guest on Japanese commentary while Xena was a guest on English commentary. It will be available to all monthly subscribers on or after 1/11/25. You can also watch the pre-show and the first PPV match FOR FREE on YouTube.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. Based on advance ticket sales I think they’ll do a bit better than DDT did yesterday there with a reduced capacity setup, which was 3579 (near sellout). 4500-5000 sounds possible. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 4023, a legit sellout)

Pre-show:
Match 1: Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura beat ChiCHI (Evolution) & Matoi Hamabe. Mizumori pinned Hamabe.
Match 2: Ranna Yagami vs. Sayaka Kurara went to a 15 minute time limit draw.

PPV:
Match 1: Hanan & Saya Iida beat Goddesses Of Stardom Champions Momo Watanabe & Thekla to win the titles. Hanan & Iida become the 35th Goddesses Of Stardom Champions. Hanan pinned Thekla with a backdrop hold. Probably the most slam-dunk result given how much trouble Thekla has caused lately and Watanabe seems in line for a singles push again. Nonetheless, it caps off the true breakout 2024 for Hanan and cements her as THE future of Stardom. She should be singles champion soon and many times over to come.

Match 2; Mina Shirakawa, Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian beat Saki Kashima, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C & Hina and Rina, Azusa Inaba, Ruaka & Fukigen in a 3-way when Shirakawa pinned Fukigen.

Match 3: AZM, Mei Seira, Suzu Suzuki & Miyu Amasaki beat Mayu Iwatani, Momo Kohgo, Hazuki & Koguma. AZM pinned Kohgo after Azumi Sushi.

Match 4: Saori Anou beat Mika Iwata (Sendai Girls).

Match 5: Syuri beat Konami by DQ in 33 seconds. H.A.T.E. interference. Former GLEAT wrestler Maya Fukuda then appeared and made the save, seemingly aligning with Syuri and hinting at joining Stardom in 2025.

Match 6: In a No DQ Match. Natsuko Tora beat Maika.

Match 7: Starlight Kid beat Wonder Of Stardom Champion Natsupoi to win the title. Kid becomes the 24th Wonder Of Stardom Champion. At last, you could say.

Main Event: Saya Kamitani beat World Of Stardom Champion Tam Nakano to win the title. Kamitani becomes the 20th World Of Stardom Champion. And righted the wrongs that was the 5STAR GP and fallout. Nakano never should have gotten a title shot after starting 0-3 and going winless then winning the title from Tora, even with the logical explanation she only lost the title at the end of December 2023 due to having to vacate it (injury). This result, like it or not, saved Stardom’s 2024 to me. Tam Road has ended and the queen is dead. Long Live The Phenex Queen! As for Nakano, now she has to deal with the returning Sayaka Unagi.

The next event is STARDOM NEW YEAR DREAM 2025 Friday at Tokyo Garden Theater in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA but the current lineup which includes 3 potential pre-show matches suggests it could be, albeit on very late notice, another PPV. If there is a live broadcast on Stardm World, PPV or not, it should begin Thursday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.

UPDATE: PPV again Friday on Stardom World. 4400 yen/around $30 US. Non-PPV version available on or after 1/11 (may now be 4680 yen). It will be available in Japanese and English with Ami Sohrei & Xena as guests again on the Japanese & English versions, respectively.

UPDATE 2: After this event, Hazuki & Koguma went to the OZ Academy year-event at Korakuen Hall and beat Ryo Mizunami & Sonoko Kato to win the OZ Academy Tag Team Championship. Hazuki & Koguma become the 40th Champions. Next defense upcoming likely is against Mizunami & Cohaku.

Stardom 12/26/24 Results

Stardom ran the final NEW BLOOD event of the year today, the 17th installment of their showcase series for younger & less-experienced wrestlers.

Today’s event was held at New Sun Pier Takeshiba in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube. You can watch the entire event below (the matches begin at the 11 minute mark):

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. It’s a small venue and wasn’t full capacity but from what I can see at the start it looks like between 150-200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 215)

Match 1: Cohaku (Sendai Girls) beat Matoi Hamabe.

Match 2: Tomoka Inaba, Hina & Ranna Yagami beat Himiko, Mitsuki Kato & Yuma Makoto (Diana). Hina pinned Makoto.

Match 3: Yuna Mizumori & Tam Nakano beat Sumika Yanagawa & Misa Kami (JTO). Nakano beat Yanagawa.

Match 4: Honoka (WAVE) beat Rian.

Intermission.

Match 5: Saori Anou, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara beat ZONES, ChiChi & Sai (Evolution). Sakura pinned ChiChi after a spinning right head kick.

Main Event: Waka Tsukiyama & HANAKO beat New Blood Tag Team Champions Rina & Azusa Inaba to win the titles. Tsukiyama & HANAKO become the 4th New Blood Tag Team Champions. HANAKO pinned Rina after JP Coaster. Well, that’s one title record Rina won’t take away from big sister Hanan (she eclipsed Hanan’s Future Of Stardom Championship records before losing to Miyu Amasaki a couple months ago, which Stardom promptly cranked out special merchandise to profit off of). Afterwards, the new champs brought all the event’s participants out, including keeping reluctant Rina & Inaba in the ring, for the year-end group photo ops to end the show.

The next event is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2024, the year-end blowout event, Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming as a PPV on Stardom World for 4400 Japanese yen (about $30 US) will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. PPV purchase includes unlimited replays until the morning of 1/10/25. It will be available on demand on Stardom World for all monthly paying subscribers on or after 1/11/25. You will also be able to watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube.

In other news, the 1/3/25 year-opening event will also be a PPV, and it was announced that All Elite Wrestling’s Tay Melo (formerly Tay Conti) will return after a year-plus absence at this event. Melo has been away since she had her first child with her husband, AEW wrestler Sammy Guevara, in November 2023. She had recently been training to prepare for her return, but it not happening in AEW is quite a surprise.

Stardom 12/24/24 Results

Main Event: Tam Nakano & Natsupoi beat Saya Kamitani & Starlight Kid. Nakano pinned Kamitani. Afterwards, a PPV preview video followed then the roster except for H.A.T.E. gathered in the ring for the year-end group photo ops to end the show.

The next event is NEW BLOOD 17 Thursday at New Pier Hall Takeshiba in Tokyo. Live streaming FOR FREE only on YouTube will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET.

The final event of the year is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2024 Sunday at Ryogoku Kokugikan. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. Stardom 12/22/24 LIVE Results (Updated x2)

Stardom finishes up their weekend tripleheader today in Tokyo, headlined by the last 4-way match that will fill out the International Women’s Cup 4-way match at WRESTLE DYNASTY on 1/5 at the Tokyo Dome. The winner today will represent Stardom against All Elite Wrestling, Ring Of Honor & CMLL and, based on the participants, I would call anyone but Syuri winning an upset as she’s up against Suzu Suzuki, Tomoka Inaba & Momo Watanabe. Anyone could win of course but I don’t see any of them beating Syuri, although Watanabe is the wild card because of potential H.A.T.E. interference. Also, after returning yesterday, Thekla apparently had her 3 week suspension lifted a couple days early as it was to go through today but she is on the card.

Today’s event will be held at Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World (the new relaunch mainly was a re-do of the website and the video archives with no real changes to streaming and still some issues present from before, albeit minor ones). There will be no commentary. The 4-way will have no time limit and there are 7 matches total, yesterday’s event ran a big longer than I predicted so today I’ll guess the event’s running time will be about 2 1/4 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Yuna Mizumori vs. Rian
AZM vs. Waka Tsukiyama & Aya Sakura in a 3-way
Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki & Koguma vs. Saki Kashima, Hina & Ranna Yagami
Hanan, Saya Iida & Matoi Hamabe vs. Konami, Rina & Thekla
Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara & Momo Kohgo vs. Mei Seira, Starlight Kid & Miyu Amasaki
Tam Nakano, Saori Anou & Maika vs. Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani & Ruaka
International Women’s Cup Qualifier: Syuri vs. Suzu Suzuki, Tomoka Inaba & Momo Watanabe in a 4-way

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.

6:40 PM PT UPDATE: There has been a last-minute change to today’s event-AZM is now off. The always-vague poor health. The 3-way is now a single match (Tsukiyama vs. Sakura)

7:50 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun. Updates will begin in a few minutes.

8 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced sometime tomorrow. Looks like a similar setup to Tokyo Joshi Pro yesterday and mostly full from what I can see. That has me thinking it’ll be around 400. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 489)

Today’s lineup rundown opens the event. The 4-way International Women’s Cup Qualifier is today’s main event.

The matches begin at 8:05 PM PT/11:05 PM ET.

Result: Yuna Mizumori beat Rian by submission

Stardom 12/21/24 LIVE Results

Stardom continues a tripleheader weekend today with the second event, continuing to build to both their year-end blowout PPV on 12/29 and WRESTLE DYNASTY on 1/5. The focus is more on the latter with the second half of 4 qualifying matches for a 4-way to determine who goes into a 4-way against representatives from All Elite Wrestling, Ring Of Honor and CMLL on 1/5 (the first 2 matches were held yesterday, results when they become available).
There have also been last-minute changes to the card because of happenings yesterday-Thekla, who was suspended without pay through this weekend due to actions at an event earlier this month, made an unexpected appearance yesterday and attacked Hanan during her match, which was one of the 4-way qualifiers. As a result, Thekla will replace Fukigen in a 6-woman tag with Saya Kamitani & Momo Watanabe against Hanan, Tam Nakano & Saya Iida. What had been a match between Sayaka Kurara & Matoi Hamabe will now be a 3-way with Fukigen added as a result.

Today’s event will be held at Nagoya Congress Center Event Hall in Nagoya and can be watched LIVE on THE ALL-NEW Stardom World. The service has been completely redesigned to be more user-friendly and relaunched yesterday, the price remains the same (920 Japanese yen/month, or around $6.15 US). There will be no commentary. The event currently has 7 matches do depending on whether or not there is an intermission I anticipate th eevent’s runnign time being 2-2 1/2 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Sayaka Kurara vs. Matoi Hamabe & Fukigen in a 3-way
Tam Nakano, Hanan & Saya Iida vs. Saya Kamitani, Momo Watanabe & Thekla

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.

7:52 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Nagoya Congress Center Event Hall in Nagoya, Japan. There is no commentary. We saw a live shot on launch for a few seconds before going back to pre-show mode.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The Event Hall is the biggest of 3 available spaces at the venue and can hold up to 1800, but it won’t be anywhere near that. What I did see already looked quite full so I’m thinking the setup will be for closer to 800 with a crowd of around 550. (Quick shots from when we go live again suggest it could be a full house. Not many empty seats) (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 645)

The matches should begin in about 15 minutes.

The matches begin at 8:03 PM PT/11:03 PM ET.

Match 1: Sayaka Kurara vs. Matoi Hamabe & Fukigen in a 3-way. 15 minute time limit
Rellut: Sayaka Kurara beat Matoi Hamabe & Fukigen in a 3-way by pinning Hamabe. The addition of Fukigen made this more of a comedy match.

Match 2: Syuri, Saki Kashima, Lady C & Ranna Yagami vs. Mei Seira, Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki. 20 minute time limit
Result: Mei Seira, Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu amasaki beat Syuri, Saki Kashima, Lady C & Ranna Yagami. AZM pinned C.

Match 3: Maika & Rian vs. Natsuko Tora & Ruaka. 20 minute time limit

Match 4: Mayu iwatani, Momo Kohgo & Hazuki vs. Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Yuna Mizumori. 20 minute time limit

Result: Tomoka Inaba beat Koguma, Waka Tsukiyama & Rina in a 4-way by pinning Tsukiyama. As a result, Inaba advances to the 4-way for a spot in the 1/5 4-way at the Tokyo Dome. Afterwards, Inaba with microphone. Quick promo in which it sounded like she vowed to be the one to represent Stardom on 1/5.

Match 6: International Women’s Cup Qualifier: Suzu Suzuki vs. Hina, Aya Sakura & Konami in a 4-way. No time limit
Result: Suzu Suzuki beat Hina, Aya Sakura & Konami in a 4-way by pinning Hina. As a result, Suzuki advances to the 4-way for a spot in the 1/5 match at Tokyo Dome. That match will be Suzuki vs. Tomoka Inaba, Momo Watanabe & Syuri in a 4-way and will happen tomorrow.

Intermission. Main Event is next.

The matches resume at 10:07 PM PT after a 5 minute break.

Main Event: Tam Nakano, Hanan & Saya Iida vs. Saya Kamitani, Momo Watanabe & Thekla. 30 minute time limit
Result: Tam Nakano, Hanan & Saya Iida beat Saya Kamitani, Momo Watanabe & Thekla. Hanan pinned Thekla with La Magistral after a Watanabe bat attack backfired and hit Thekla instead. H.A.T.E. beatdown on the winners and Yuna Mizumori followed until Maika & Syuri made the save

The next event is tomorrow at Tama Mirai Messe in Tokyo. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET. I plan to do live results but with 2 other live events at the same time it may be difficult to keep up.
