Injury Report: Our Queen Must Rest Again (Updated)

Stardom has provided an update on Saya Kamitani after she suffered an apparent injury Saturday in her World Of Stardom Championship match. Reportedly a dislocated finger. Because the match was stopped but then continued (and also because, especially if you’ve watched WWE or that Unreal show on Netflix-which I have-I liked it-Pro Wrestling Everybody!) there were concerns about if it was legit or not. Clarification came from both the promotion and President Taro Okada that it was a legit injury, and now a follow-up report from the promotion: it was decided Kamitani should and will have surgery to prevent future complications/issues. Out about 1 month. She will try to make some non-wrestling appearances if possible, and she was at yesterday’s H.A.T.E. fan gathering event (but couldn’t sign autographs). No word on when the next title defense is scheduled to be-they teased Sayaka Kurara being next but the annual Cinderella Tournament is coming up in March and Kurara likely will participate as the defending winner-but a likely date is the next annual tentpole blowout event on 4/29 so all should be well by then.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Kamitani isn’t the only one sidelined. Suzu Suzuki, Saya Iida & Bea Priestley are all headed to the bench too. Suzuki & Priestley-unspecified injuries. Iida-surgery for removal of a steel plate in her right hand from a fracture last year. All are out indefinitely.

Stardom 2/7/2026 Results (Updated x2)

STARDOM Supreme Fight in Osaka 2026, the monthly or bi-monthly blowout event, is now in the books.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym in Osaka and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World until roughly 2/23. You can also watch the first 4 matches, which includes 2 pre-show matches, FOR FREE on YouTube.

The paid attendance was not announced.

There was a last-minute change to the event due to Hazuki being pulled off the card. Unspecified circumstances but she was there. She was to have teamed with TBA in a 4-way tag match. I have a feeling it was to give her a masked or comedy gimmick.

Pre-show:
Match 1: Momo Kohgo beat Yuna Mizumori, Lady C, Azusa Inaba & Kiyoka Kokatsu in a 5-way by pinning Mizumori. As a result, Kohgo will get the next High Speed Championship shot, meaning a rematch with Mizumori.
Match 2: Hina, Tomoka Inaba & Ranna Yagami beat Sayaka Kurara, Anne Kanaya & Kikyo Furusawa. Hina pinned Kurara after Mad Splash.

PPV:
Match 1: Rina beat Fuwa-chan.

Match 2: Maki Itoh beat Aya Sakura by submission. This apparently was for a “cutest in the world” championship Itoh created and defended, which is an unofficial title.

Match 3: AZM & Miyu Amasaki beat Saya Iida & Yuria Hime, Natsupoi & Saori Anou and Kuidare Hazuki & Billiken (who I’m guessing based on translation are Hazuki & Fukigen/Kaori Yoneyama) in a 4-way when Amasaki pinned Hime.

Match 4: Syuri beat Saki Kashima.

Match 5: In a handicap elimination gauntlet match (win by pinfall, submission or over the top rope), Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki & Akira Kurogame beat Maika, HANAKO, Xena, Waka Tsukiyama & Rian. Order of elimination: Tsukiyama by Aoki, Xena by Aoki, Aoki by HANAKO, HANAKO & Yamashita together, Suzuki & Maika by time limit draw, Rian by Kurogame. Mi Vida Loca wins. This was changed from a planned 10-woman tag match due to the continued absence of Bozilla (unspecified injury).

Match 6: Goddesses Of Stardom Champions Natsuko Tora & Ruaka beat Hanan & Bea Priestley to retain the titles. Tora pinned Hanan after a swanton bomb. V5 for the champs.

Match 7: Wonder Of Stardom Champion Konami beat Ami Sohrei by submission to retain the title. V3 for Konami. Next up: Hina.

Main Event: World Of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani beat Starlight Kid to retain the title. V9 for Kamitani. It was briefly stopped due to a Kamitani injury. Dislocated finger. But it was restarted and thankfully our PHENEX QUEEN will continue her reign. Next up: Kurara, who tried and failed to win the title last year around the time Kamitani retired mentor Tam Nakano. But hopefully she will fail again as we continue to Embrace The H.A.T.E. into 2026. Long reign our Queen!

The next evens is 2/15 at Fujisan Messe in Shizuoka. There will be no live broadcast.

UPDATE: After the event, it was announced that Kid & Mei Seira will be headed to Mexico in March. They will participate in CMLL on 3/6 at Arena Mexico in Mexico City and challenge for the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Championship as part of an all-women’s event. This means they will miss part of the Cinderella Tournament although neither would likely be participating in the tournament. This may be an exchange of sorts as India Sioux (?) & Tabata from CMLL are also headed to Stardom in the near future. More details about the latter are TBA.

UPDATE 2: Tokyo Sports reports that after losing the handicap match, Maika disbanded E Nexus V. She also hinted at perhaps following now-former factionmate Mina Shirakawa to All Elite Wrestling, but also at maybe leaving Stardom and/or becoming a freelancer while also dropping a hint about challenging for teh STRONG Women’s Championship currently held by Syuri.
