TNA Wrestling “No Surrender 2024” Results (2/23/24)

TNA Wrestling’s live monthly event, No Surrender, is on tap tonight, the first since the promotion fired Scott D’Amore so this will be a very pivotal weekend for the promotion between this and the next TV tapings tomorrow. The card is loaded with 5 title matches headlined by, appropriately enough, a No Surrender Match as TNA World Champion Moose defends against Alex Shelley, the man he won the title from at Hard To Kill. A No Surrender Match is No Rules, the only way to win is by corner stoppage (towel). Each wrestler has 2 cornermen who are the only ones that can stop it. Before that, Gisele Shaw cashes in her Ultimate X for a shot at TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, TNA X Champion Chris Sabin defends against Mustafa Ali and much more.

Today’s event will be held at Alario Center in New Orleans, LA and can be watched LIVE on TNA+ (monthly/annual subscription required-monthly is $9.99/month), YouTube (Ultimate Insider subscription required, $4.99/month) and TrillerTV (FITE, PPV for $9.99). There will also be a FREE 30 minute pre-show on all of the above. Including the pre-show it will be a standard live monthly broadcast running about 3 1/2 hours so you’ll have just enough time to jump onto New Japan World for the pre-show starting today’s live event.

Today’s current lineup:
Pre-Show:
The Rascalz vs. Mike Bailey & Trent Seven
Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers vs. KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight

Main Show/PPV:
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Decay vs. MK Ultra for the titles
PCO vs. Kon
Eric Young vs. Frankie Kazarian. The winner faces the TNA World Champion at Sacrifice on 3/8
Josh Alexander vs. Simon Gotch
TNA Tag Team Champions Bullet Club vs. Grizzled Young Vets for the titles
TNA X Champion Chris Sabin vs. Mustafa Ali for the titles
TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace vs. Gisele Shaw for the title
TNA World Champion Moose vs. Alex Shelley in a No Surrender Match for the title. Match ends only when a corner (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards for Moose, KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight for Shelley) throws in the towel. However, if either side’s cornermen interfere, it’s a forfeit for that side (DQ) and the title can change hands if that happens

TNA Impact Wrestling 2/15/24 Results (Updated)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s TNA Impact Wrestling in Orlando, FL:

This episode was taped in January and continues the road to No Surrender next week. (I skipped last week as I was still processing the firing of Scott D’Amore and fallout as Anthem seems to be reorganizing and restructuring TNA. Fan and wrestler reaction as a whole to the moves has been overwhelmingly negative and is leading to a lot of concerns about the promotion’s future)

Match 1: Frankie Kazarian beat Jake Something. Cheating with hand on the ropes.

Eric Young promo. He wants to talk to Kazarian in the ring next week.

Match 2: TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace beat Savannah Evans in a NON-TITLE match. Afterwards, Gisele Shaw beat down Grace and also laid out Evans, suggesting they are done as a unit after Jai Vidal was fired last week.

Ash By Elegance (fka Dana Brooke) interviewed by her personal concierge, who shooed off Gia Miller. She will face her first TNA match next week.

Alan Angels “Sound Check” segment, this time interviewing Simon Gotch. He calls out Josh Alexander. The segment ends when Alexander barges in and a scuffle takes out the camera.

Match 3: Best Of 3 Series Match 2 for the TNA Tag Team Championship: Ace Austin & Chris Bey beat Grizzled Young Veterans. 1-1. There will be a Match 3 for the titles.

Dirty Dango promo.

Mustafa Ali promo. The Good Hands promo follows in response until interrupted by Chris Sabin.

Match 4: TNA Digital Media Champion Crazzy Steve beat Rhino to retain the title.

PCO promo.

Match 5: Deaner vs. Joe Hendry never happened. AJ Francis promo interrupted Hendry’s entrance. Francis then came out with microphone. He continues to run down Hendry but Hendry comes back with another of his ridiculous comedy music videos. Afterwards, Deaner returned to the ring for the heel beatdown on Hendry until Rich Swann made the save.

Footage of Steve Maclin ambushing Nic Nemeth recently at a WWC event in Puerto Rico. Maclin then interviewed. Trent Seven & Mike Bailey interrupted. Seven challenged Maclin to a match next week.

Match 6: Dani Luna beat Killer Kelly. Kelly & Masha Slamovichi beat down Luna & Jody Threat afterwards until Decay made the save.

Main Event: In a match where everyone was banned from ringside, TNA World Champion Moose beat KUSHIDA in a NON-TITLE match. Afterawrds, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards & Alisha Edwards beat down KUSHIDA until Alex Shelley & Kevin Knight made the save. KUSHIDA recovered and they brawled until Moose, Edwards & Myers bailed.

Next week: Chris Sabin vs. Jason Hotch, Steve Maclin vs. Trent Seven; Eddie Edwrds, Brian Myers & Moose vs. Kevin Knight, KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley and Ash By Elegance vs. TBA.

Added to No Surrender on 2/23: Josh Alexander vs. Simon Gotch, PCO vs. Kon and TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Decay vs. Masha Slamovich & Killer Kelly for the titles. The rest of the card so far: TNA X Champion Chris Sabin vs. Mustafa Ali for the title, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace vs. Gisele Shaw for the title and TNA World Champion Moose vs. Alex Shelley in a No Surrender Match-No DQs, the only way to win is your opponent’s corner throws in the towel. Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA will be in Shelley’s corner, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards will be in Moose’s corner. No surrender will be live on TNA+, YouTube for Ultimate Insiders and TrillerTV (fka FITE).

UPDATE: After the broadcast ended, the 3rd match of the best-of-3 for the TNA Tag Team Championship was added to No Surrender.

TNA Wrestling “Hard To Kill 2024” Results (1/13/24)

Formerly Impact Wrestling, TNA has rebranded to its old identity and that kicks into full gear tonight with Hard To Kill, the promotion’s first quarterly PPV of the year. The old logo is back and new title belts were unveiled and the majority of the roster is back along with some new additions, but also some departures (Deonna Purrazzo) and rumors of more to come (the dirt sheets say Trinity may be headed back to WWE soon). The current lineup consists of roughly 10 matches and a surprise debut that TNA says “You won’t believe who is showing up”. Rumors run the gamut as to who it will be, I personally am betting it will be Nic Nemeth, fka Dolph Ziggler in WWE, but we shall see. Almost all the promotion’s titles are on the line (no Knockouts Tag Team Championship match though) with the main event expected to be TNA World Champion Alex Shelley vs. Moose for the title. The event will be followed by a live event tomorrow that also will be a TV taping.
There has been a late change to the card because Trent Seven, who was to have been in a 4-way for the TNA World Tag Team Championship, is now off. Travel issues. He was to have teamed with Mike Bailey in the match. Laredo Kid is the replacement.

Today’s event will be held at the Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, NV and can be watched LIVE on PPV, TNA+ and TrillerTV (fka FITE). If you are a top-tier TNA+ subscriber the event is included in your subscription-that subscription is $219.99/year. Otherwise, the PPV is $39.99. If you are a lower-tier TNA+ subscriber ($9.99/month of $95.99/year) or YouTube Ultimate Insider subscriber (the YouTube subscription plans will continue although it was never mentioned in TNA+ announcements, it remains $4.99/month), you should be able to watch on demand in 30 days. There will be a pre-show as well, on TNA+ it will be 1 hour for subscribers while on TrillerTV it will be free but is only listed as 30 minutes. (Last-minute update: The PPV is also available on YouTube for $39.99. Includes live broadcast and on demand replays until midnight ET Monday)

Tonight’s current lineup:

PPV:

Result: TNA World Tag Team Champions Ace Austin & Chris Bey beat Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz, Grizzled Young Vets and Mike Bailey & Laredo Kid in a 4-way to retain the titles.

Match 7: TNA Knockouts Champion Trinity vs. Jordynne Grace for the title
Result: Jordynne Grace beat TNA Knockouts Champion Trinity to become THE NEW TNA KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION! Headline had the wrong result. Guess Trinity’s headed back to WWE?

This may or may not be that “you won’t believe who shows up” person but before the last match, they showed former WWE wrestler Dana Brooke in the front row. If that’s who it is…major letdown.

Main Event: TNA World Champion Alex Shelley vs. Moose for the title
Result: Moose beat TNA World Champion Alex Shelley to become THE NEW TNA WORLD CHAMPION! And to imagine when he won the title shot in the Feast Or Fired match he was disappointed and didn’t seem to want it! (He was hoping for the Tag Team Title shot with Brian Myers instead)

They saved “you won’t believe who shows up” for last after this…SHOW OFF!!! It’s Nic Nemeth! He hit Zig Zag on Moose then walked into the crowd and tore his top off to reveal a TNA shirt underneath and likely send the crowd home-or at least back into the casino-happy.

End Show.
