DDT held another Sanshiro Takagi 30th Anniversary Project event today under his M&A Pro Wrestling label, again featuring no DDT wrestlers with one or two exceptions.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The paid attendance was not announced.
The event opened with an important announcement from Sanshiro Takagi-M&A Pro Wrestling is no more. His next event on 8/19 at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage will be the launch of Super Japan Pro Wrestling.
Match 1: Fuminori Abe beat Shota.
Match 2: Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Momo Hanazono beat Munenori Sawa & Mio Shirai. Kuroshio pinned Shirai.
Match 3: Momo Kohgo (Stardom) beat Yoshiko Hasegawa (Tokyo Joshi Pro).
Match 4: Brahmans Shu & Kei beat Rika Tatsumi (Tokyo Joshi Pro) & Antonio Honda (DDT). Kei pinned Honda.
Match 5: Suwama (All-Japan) beat Muscle Sakai. Afterwards, Sakai revealed that, for those who didn’t know, he actually is Super Sasadango Machine.
Main Event: Yuji Nagata (New Japan) beat Ken Ohka (Ganbare Pro). Afterwards, Takagi asked Nagata to team with the Brahmans on 8/19 but Nagata refused. Instead a match of MIKAMI vs. TAKA Michinoku was announced for 8/19.
The next event is Sunday at Korakuen Hall for the monthly major event featuring KO-D Openweight Champion Chris Brookes vs. Kazusada Higuchi for the title. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Saturday at 7:30 PM PT/10:30 PM ET.
