Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite from Duluth, GA (SPOILERS for west coast viewers!):
Brody King beat Darby Allin.
Wheeler Yuta & Jon Moxley beat Best Friends. Yuta pinned Chuck Taylor.
Christian Cage & Luchasaurus beat Varsity Blonds. Christian pinned Brian Pillman Jr. Squash. After the match, Jungle Boy returned and Luchasaurus possibly turned on Christian to re-form Jurassic Express with Jungle Boy.
FTW Champion Ricky Starks beat Cole Karter to retain the title. (The FTW Title is not recognized by AEW. Or anyone for that matter, unless their name is Taz)
Jade Cargill & Kiera Hogan beat Willow Nightingale & Athena. Carigll pinned NIghtingale after Jaded. This was to have been Cargill, Hogan & Leila Grey vs. Nightingale, Athena & Kris Statlander but Grey was removed earlier today due to not being medically cleared to compete. Per a pre-match stip he came up with, Stokely Hathaway got to keep one of the 3 opponents out of the match and chose Statlander, who was also banned from ringside.
Chris Jericho beat Eddie Kingston in a Barbed Wire (Almost) Everywhere Death match. Jericho Appreciation Society was suspended in a shark cage above the crowd. At least until Anna Jay turned heel after Tay Conti interfered to fight Ruby Soho, who had the controls to the cage. Long story short, screwjob.
Definitely a big drop off from last week’s show and the main event was a huge letdown. Questionable creative all over the place.
Friday on Rampage: The Butcher & The Blade vs. Adam Page & John Silver, Lee Moriarty vs. Dante Martin, Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter vs. TBA, Max Caster vs. Austin Gunn in a rap battle (Moving On…) and Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal.
Next week: Fight For The Fallen, AEW’s annual charity fundraiser special. AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa vs. Miyu Yamashita (Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling) for the title, Starks vs. Danhausen for the FTW Title and more TBA, which for the most part will be announced Saturday during the Ring Of Honor PPV.
