DDT ran an event in Yokohama today with their annual version of “Money In The Bank”.
Today’s event was held at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The paid attendance was not announced.
Before the event began, a memorial ceremony was held for former DDT wrestler Tomohiko Hashimoto, who died earlier this week. He would have turned 48 next week. The cause of death is unknown but it may have been liver cancer, which he was diagnosed with last year. He debuted in DDT in 2000 and competed there until 2006 and was a 3-time KO-D Tag Team Champion among other accolades.
Match 1: Shinya Aoki beat Takeshi Masada.
Match 2: Kazuki Hirata beat Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine in a 3-way by pinning Dieno. As a result, Hirata earns a “Money In The Bank” title shot for any DDT title, anytime, anywhere, of his choosing.
Match 3: HARASHIMA beat Daichi Sato.
Match 4: In a match that could be won by submission, KO/TKO or cumulative 20 count pinfalls, Chris Brookes & Yuya Koroku beat Yuki Ueno & To-y. Koroku pinned To-y after a deformed Triangle Lancer.

Afterwards, Sasaki announced the main event of his next independent produced event on 10/2 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo: Sasaki & El Desperado vs. Shuji Ishikawa & Antonio Honda. This will also be a Sasaki 20th Anniversary Match.
The next event is tomorrow at Yume Messe Miyagi in Sendai. There will be no live broadcast. On demand Tuesday. There also has been a last-minute change announced to the card because Gorgeous Matsuno was on the card but is now off. Fever. He was to have teamed with Kazuki Hirata to face Danshoku Dieno & Akito. That match is now a 3-way.
