Tokyo Joshi Pro held a special collaboration event with Japanese idol music group OCHA NORMA today, featuring a combination of wrestling matches and live performances by the popular all-girl J-Pop group as well as Up Up Girls.
Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. The PPV is available for 3000 Japanese yen (around $19 US) for paid monthly UNIVERSE subscribers and 3500 yen (around $23 US) for free subscribers. Purchase includes unlimited replays for the next month and includes all music performances in addition to the matches.
The announced paid attendance was 910, a full house/near sellout. Due to the setup it was reduced capacity, it looks like they didn’t use the opposite-camera bleacher seats at all.
Up Up Girls live performance opened the event.
Match 1: HIMAWARI & Haru Kazashiro beat Arisu Endo & Uta Takami. Kazashiro beat Takami with 16 Nights (armbar variation).
Match 2: Ryo Mizunami (Independent/Freelancer), Raku & Pom Harajuku beat Mahiro Kiryu, Shino Suzuki & Chika Nanase. Mizunami pinned Nanase after a spear.
The first OCHA NORMA live performance followed the second match.
Match 3: Ochanomizu (masked mystery wrestler) & Kaya Toribami beat Wakana Uehara & Ren Konatsu. Ochanomizu pinned Konatsuwith La Ochastral.
Match 4: In a comedy game in the ring, Haru Kazashiro, Pom Harajuku & Uta Takami beat 3 members of OCHA NORMA 3-2.
Match 5: Miyu Yamashita, Rika Tatsumi & Mifu Ashida beat Hyper Misao, Yuki Kamifuku & Kira Summer. Tatsumi pinned Summer after Missile Hip.
After that match…
Mahiro Kiryu beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Rika Tatsumi to win the title. Kiryu becomes the 1787th Champion. Which led to…
Natsuki Natsuyama beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Mahiro Kiryu to win the title. Natsuyama becomes the 1788th Champion. OCHA NORMA holds the belt now!
The second OCHA NORMA live performance followed before the last match.
Main Event: Mizuki, Suzume & Yuki Arai beat Miu Watanabe, Yuki Aino & Toga. Suzume pinned Toga after Ring A Bell. Erika Sato was the special ring announcer.
Overall another collaboration success for TJPW and popular J-Pop groups as many TJPW wrestlers are fans of OCHA NORMA. But then something happened backstage…
A Bottle Of Tea beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Natsuki Natsuyama to win the title. Tea becomes the 1789th Champion. Considered a submission and verbally giving up the title in naturally hilarious DDT fashion. Only in DDT (and TJPW) can inanimate objects become champions. And it is awesome.
The next event is TJPW LIVE IN BANGKOK Saturday at The Circus Studio in Bangkok, Thailand. Live streaming as a(nother) PPV on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at, if I’m guessing correctly on the time, 1 AM PT/4 AM ET. The PPV is available for pre-order for 2500 yen (around $15) for monthly paid UNIVERSE subecribers and 3200 yen (around $21) for non-paid subscribers and will be available for purchase and on demand until 1/13/26.
