New Japan/DDT 6/8/2026 Results

New Japan & DDT came together today for a second Toru Yano vs. Super Sasadango Machine crossover event that was pure comedy.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on New Japan World and WRESTLE UNIVERSE until 6/30. It’s $22.99 on New Japan World but different on WRESTLE UNIVERSE (they said 4400 Japanese yen or around $28 but paid subscribers may be able to get it for 2500 yen or around $15).

The paid attendance was not announced.

While the card was not announced in advance, there was a last-second change due to Tomoaki Honma being pulled off the event. The always vague poor health. KUSHIDA was the replacement.

It appears that the matches followed a Gauntlet match format with winners staying, losers eliminated, 5 on each side.

Match 1: In an Exhibition Match, Tatsuya Matsumoto vs. Hinata Kasai went to a 3
minute time limit draw. Which led to…
Match 1 (continued): In a 5-minute extension, Tatsuya Matsumoto beat Hinata Kasai.

Match 2: In a Fluorescent Lighttubes Deathmatch where the first one responsible for breaking a lighttube loses, Akito & MAP beat El Desperado & KUSHIDA. Desperado broke the lighttube.

Match 3: In a Blindfold Butt Hiding Hell Match, where the first side to have their pants pulled down and (surely much to Danshoku Dieno’s delight) have their butt completely exposed loses, Ryusuke Taguchi & Yoh beat Akito & MAO. Taguchi pulled MAO’s off, much to the delight of any female fans in the crowd, I’m sure.

Match 4: In a Submissions Only Match (no pinfalls, win only by submission), Ryusuke Taguchi & Yoh vs. Antonio Gonda & Kazuki Hirata went to a draw. Both Taguchi & Honda gave up simultaneously.

Match 5: In a Classic Senior Deathmatch, where whoever made their respective junior wrestler laugh (with a mouth full of water no less) 3 times first loses, Hirooki Goto beat Super Sasadango Machine.

Match 6: Hirooki Goto vs. Danshoku Dieno went to a no contest. Out of control. Technically New Japan wins because DDT has nobody left and Yano was left for New Japan. Which led to…

Impromptu Match: In a Weapon Rumble Hell Match, Toru Yano vs. Snashiro Takagi went to an apparent no contest. Which led to…

Impromptu Match 2: In a handicap match, Konosuke Takeshita beat Super Sasadango Machine & Toru Yano by pinning Machine. Which led to…

Impromptu Match 3: In a handicap match, everyone on today’s event plus Masatora Yasuda beat Sanshiro Takagi in 98 seconds. Takeshita pinned Takagi.

After it was seemingly over, it ended on a mystery note with the discovery of Pro Wrestling NOAH wrestler Kenoh in the locker room. Apparently he was to have been a weapon today…guess that’s for another time!
