Pro Wrestling NOAH wrapped up the NEO Global Tag League today with the Finals.
Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and cam be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in English. This was an exclusive ABEMA broadcast in Japan in Japanese, which will be available on demand shortly.
The announced paid attendance was 1009.
Match 1: Black Menso-re, Katsumi Inahata & Hiroto Tsuruya beat Super Crazy, Yuto Koyanagi & Midori Takahashi. Inahata pinned Takahashi after a powder drop.
Match 2: Yoshiki Inamura & Stallion Rogers beat Kazuyuki Fujita & Mohammed Yone. Rogers pinned Yone.
Match 3: AMAKUSA, Daiki Odashima, Kid Lykos 1 & 2 beat OZAWA, Tadasuke, Alpha Wolf & Jun Masaoka. Ofashima pinned Tadasuke.
Match 4: Shuji Kondo & Eita beat Naomichi Marufuji & Kenoh. Kondo pinned Marufuji after a King Kong lariat.
Match 5: Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI, Kaito Kiyomiya & KENTA beat Masa Kitamiya, Takashi Sugiura, Tetsuya Endo & HAYATA. Naito pinned HAYATA.
Match 6: GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Dragon Bane & Alejandro beat Atsushi Kotoge & Hajime Ohara to retain the titles. Bane pinned Ohara after Sperlana. V3 for the champs. Ohara was a late replacement for the injured Hi69.
Main Event: NEO Global Tag League Finals: Manabu Soya & Yuki Iino beat Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows to win the tournament. Soya pinned Anderson after Passion IS. As a result, Soya & Iino will get a GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match in the near future. And right before I posted this it was made official. That match will happen on 6/25.
The next event is Saturday at Agematsu Town Community Center in Nagano for a Eita 15th Anniversary event with Eita vs. Bane for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 12:30 AM PT/3:30 AM ET.
Also some interesting fallout from today-Tadasuke claims he is putting bis N-1 Tournament entry on the line, apparently against Odashima, as a result of today. It will be a ladder match on 7/18 and naturally Tadasuke is stacking the deck-4 participants and it’s 3 Team 2000X members-Tadasuke, Alpha Wolf & Jun Masaoka-and Odashima. Also added to 8/18 is Yoshiki Inamura vs. Kazuyuki Fujita. They join the one other official match so far, Tetsuya Naito vs. Kaito Kiyomiya.
