If you’re not already familiar with the US independent promotion Major League Wrestling, they have been expanding their footprint the last couple years after a pandemic-induced hiatus, which includes new TV/streaming partnerships. Another one was just announced-New Japan is adding new episodes of MLW Fusion, the promotion’s weekly TV show, to New Japan World. The first episode will premiere Sunday at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET and will be available FOR FREE. Subsequent episodes will be available worldwide to paid monthly subscribers at the same time weekly.
Current New Japan wrestler KUSHIDA is currently featured on Fusion, he’s actually a heel over there as part of CONTRA, which also boasts CMLL and occasional NJPW wrestler OKUMURA. He’s also the promotion’s current Middleweight Champion (equal to Jr. Heavyweight) Their women’s division recently had Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestler Shoko Nakajima as their champion but she lost the title to former WWE wrestler Shotzi Blackheart. That ended Nakajima’s reign at over a year.
New episodes of MLW Fusion premiere Saturdays FOR FREE on YouTube at 3:05 PM PT/6:05 PM ET then air at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET on beIN Sports in the US. (MLW has a paid subscription on YouTube, which mainly consists of old episodes of Fusion and major special events. It’s worth noting all Fusion episodes are TAPED in advance) Episodes them remain available for on demand viewing on YouTube.
