New Japan continued the Road To G1 CLIMAX Tour today in Tokyo.

The announced paid attendance was 1195.
Match 1: Masatora Yasuda, El Desperado & Yuya Uemura beat Taisei Nakahara, Toru Yano & Togi Makabe. Yasuda pinned Nakahara.
Match 2: Zane Jay, Jacob Austin Young, Great-O-Khan & Jake Lee beat Tatsuya Matsunoto, Ryusuje Taguchi, Yoh & Hirooki Goto. Khan pinned Matsumoto.
Match 3: Satoshi Kojima & Shota Umino beat Hartlay Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa. Umino pinned Jackson after Second Chapter.
Match 4: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, DOUKI, Yujiro Takahashi & Ren Narita beat Daiki Nagai, Shingo Takagi, OSKAR (The Grouch) & Yota Tsuji by ref stoppage (technical submission). DOUKI beat Nagai.
Match 5: Francesco Akira beat Sho, Kosei Fujita & Master Wato in a 4-way by pinning Wato. As a result, Akira will face IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Yoh for the title on 7/6.
G1 CLIMAX Qualifiers:
Match 6: Aaron Wolf beat YOSHI-HASHI. As a result, Wolf is in the tournament and will be in Block B.
Main Event: Yuto Ice (Ice Baby) beat Taichi. As a result, Ice is in the tournament and will be in Block A.

The next event is the annual Forbidden Door crossover event with All Elite Wrestling, this year also featuring CMLL & Stardom, Sunday at SAP Center in San Jose, CA. Live streaming as a PPV will begin at 4 PM PT/7 PM ET. It will be available on New Japan World IN JAPAN ONLY and on participating cable/satellite providers & HBO Max in the US. Those who subscribe to HBO Max can pre-order there and possibly get a $10 discount.
As for Japan, the next event is 7/2 at Tokorozawa City Gym in Saitama. Broadcast plans TBA (the July streaming schedule has not yet been announced but I’m thinking no broadcasts until 7/6).
