GLEAT ran a house show today in Tokyo to kick off their 6th year. This is the last event before the GLEAT Ver. numbering for all events going forward begins (but the matches are still called G PROWRESTLING, Lidet UWF, etc).
Today’s event was held at Basement Monstar in Tokyo and should be available on demand on YouTube at a later date. There was bo live broadcast.
The announced paid attendance was 87, a legit sellout. It’s a VERY small venue. (Kobe Lapis Hall in Kobe, where Dragon Gate tapes PRIME ZONE+, is a good comparison as I think it doesn’t even hold 100 for those events)
Match 1: T-Hawk beat Jo Yamamoto by submission.
Match 2: JD Lee beat Junjie.
Match 3: Tetsuya Izuchi, SBK & Nobu San beat Keiichi Sato, Rock Iwasaki & Kohei Kinoshita Izuchi pinned Sato after Kill Zone.
Match 4: Kaito Ishida & KAZMA SAKAMOTO beat ARASHI & So Daimonji. SAKAMOTO pinned Daimonji. Afterwards, Kapy & Van Vert Jack came out after winning the next G INFINITY Championship shot yesterday and demanded a date be set for their title shot. That match will happen on 7/16.
Match 5: In a G-Rush Rules Match, Soma Watanabe beat G-Rush Champion Minoru Tanaka & Brass Knuckles JUN in a 3-way elimination match, first eliminating Tanaka then, after the time limit, eliminating JUN in overtime, to win the title. Watanabe becomes the 4th G-Rush Champion.
Main Event: El Lindaman, MICHIKO, Takanori Ito & Takehiro Yamamura beat Ryuichi Kawakami, Quiet Storm, Hayato Tamura & Kotaro Suzuki. Lindaman pinned Kawakami after a piledriver.
The next event is 7/16 at City Hall & Gallery Gotanda in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA
