BREAKING: Another New Japan Veteran Retiring

At today’s New Japan event (non-televised), longtime wrestler Tomoaki Honma announced his retirement. It sounds like it will not be immediate as he wants to get to 30 years and have a hometown retirement match next year. Honma suffered a spinal injury that left him temporarily paralyzed in 2017 but recovered enough to return to action but more recent concerns have surfaced in exams and he decided to retire. Honma turns 50 in November and has mainly bern a part-timer post-pandemic.

More as it becomes available. Today’s results will be posted later today.
