As the countdown to the closing of Shinjuku Face approaches with less than 2 months to go, GLEAT said its goodbye to the venue with their final event there today.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube.
The announced paid attendance was 291, a legit sellout. Albeit reduced capacity as the venue’s full capacity is 500.
Match 1: Keiichi Sato, Rock Iwasaki & Kohei Kinoshita beat T-Hawk, Jo Yamamoto & Yuya Aoki. Iwasaki pinned Yamamoto.
Match 2: Minoru Tanaka & Junjie beat Shigehiro Irie & Kapy. Junjie pinned Kapy after a rolling lariat.
Match 3: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Riko Fukunaga beat Henri by submission. This was billed as Fukunaga’s final Lidet UWF fight.
Match 4: Kazuyuki Fujita (Pro Wrestling NOAH), Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kendo Ka Shin beat Takanori Ito, Hayato Tamura & Tetsuya Izuchi. Fujita pinned Izuchi after Beast Bomb.
Match 5: MICHIKO, Chanyota & Marika Kobashi beat ZONES, Maho Blanca & Non Toraga. MICHIKO pinned Blanca.
Match 6: Soma Watanabe, JD Lee, ARASHI & So Daimonji beat SBK, NOBU SAN, TAKUMA & Vent Vert Jack. Watanabe pinned Jack after a firebird splash.
Match 7: Atsushi Kotoge, Mohammed Yone & Hi69 (Pro Wrestling NOAH) beat El Lindaman, Takehiro Yamamura & Kotaro Suzuki. Kotoge pinned Lindaman after Kill Switch. Afterwards, Kotoge issued a G-REX Championship challenge to Lindaman, but Yamamura interjected and demanded a match against Kotoge.
Main Event: Ryuichi Kawakami & Quiet Storm beat G INFINITY Champions KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Kaito Ishida to win the titles. Kawakami & Storm become the 12th G INFINITY Champions. Kawakami pinned SAKAMOTO after Strawberry Elephant.
The next event is Thursday at Sayama City Civic Exchange Center in Saitama. Broadcast plans TBA but there likely will be no live broadcast, on demand next week.
