DDT ran another Beer Garden Pro Wrestling event today in Tokyo, their final one at Shinjuju Face before the venue closes at the end of September.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.
The paid attendance was not announced.
Pre-Show match: GM Imabayashi beat Tetsuya Koda (Tokyo joshi Pro Representative Director). As a result, Koda must retire. Presumably from wrestling although he only has previously competed as Pocotan and only recently.
Match 1: Takao Soma, Naomi Yoshimira & Yuki Ishida beat Jun Akiyama, Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Masami Inahata. Soma pinned Matsunaga after a DDT.
Match 2: Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato beat Antonio Honda & Hinata Kasai. Koroku beat Kasai with a jumping armbar.
Match 3: Yukio Naya & Viento Levante beat Hideki Okatani & Illusion and Kazuma Sumi & Yuni in a 3-way when Levante pinned Yuni.
Match 4: Keisuke Ishii, Dansboku Dieno & Junta Miyawaki beat DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Iino & Kazuki Hirata when Dieno pinned Katsumata to win the title. Dieno becomes the 1900th Champion. As a result, Dieno also wins the “Money In The Bank” title shot challenge right from Katsumata. Oh dear…MAO best watch his back now. But remember there is also a challenge right for the challenge right still out there, currently held by KANON.
Match 5: Daisuke Sasaki beat 2 fake Daisuke Sasakis in a 3-way by beating both.
Main Event: MAO, Yuki Ueno & HARASHIMA beat Chris Brookes, KANON & To-y. Ueno pinned To-y after Jul.2.
The next event is Monday at Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo for a mini-event with just 3 matches, although one is a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship match. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET.
