After a long summer break following the 5STAR GP, Stardom returns to action today with an event in Tokyo. This is practically the only build to the next PPV after this, and there is a lot of unknown because, for winning the tournament, Rina gets a future title shot of her choice, but she still hasn’t decided on which title. It means that, instead of perhaps challenging Suzu Suzuki for the World Of Stardom Championship next week, Natsuko Tora will. There is one title match today as, following a lot of back & forth during the 5STAR GP, Yuna Mizumori will (finally perhaps) defend the High Speed Championship against Koguma. Today will also see Syuri return after her latest international excursion and, in the past week, the conclusion of her first work as an actress as she starred in a theatrical play that ran for a week in Tokyo. It seems like many wrestlers from Stardom and elsewhere were able to attend to show their support. Also back is Hazuki, returning from an extended excursion to the US and Mexico that caused her to miss the 5STAR GP.
There were some changes to the original card due to Sayaka Kurara being pulled off the event. Unspecified injury treatment but possibly neck, Out indefinitely but at least 2-3 weeks.
Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World, presumably in Japanese. Before the event, there will be a 5STAR GP Awards Ceremony which will be available FOR FREE on YouTube 20 minutes before the event begins. As for the event itself, there are 8 matches planned and with the usual intermission factored in, this will probably be a “standard” Korakuen event for them (longer than normal for other promotions) with, if the pre-show is included, a running time of about 3 hours.
