New Japan held their first airport event today in Hokkaido as part of a 100th Anniversary celebration for the facility. This was a mini-event with just 3 matches.
Today’s event was held at New Chitose Airport Center Plaza in Hokkaido. There is/was no live or on demand broadcast.
The announced paid attendance was 188, a legit sellout.
Before the event, President Hiroshi Tanahashi appeared and vowed to lose 20 kg-44 pounds-by Tokyo Dome.
Match 1: Masatora Yasuda, Shota Umino, Toru Yano & Togi Makabe beat Daiki Nagai, Gedo, OSKAR (The Grouch) & Yuto Ice (Ice Baby). Umino pinned Nagai after a lariat.
Match 2: Taichi, Yuya Uemura & Aaron Wolf beat Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Kosei Fujita. Uemura pinned Jackson after Lions Shiner.
Match 3: Robbie X, Taiji Ishinori, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji beat Tatsuya Matsunoto, Yoh, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto. Tsuji pinned Matsumoto after Fire Blaster.
The next event is tomorrow at Irie Sports Park General Gym in Hokkaido. Live streaming on New Japan World will begin TONIGHT at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET. The first half of the tour was non-televised but all remaining events will be live & on demand.
