Match 3: Trent Beretta vs. Penta El Zero M, Komander & Brian Cage in a 4-way for an AEW TNT Championsihp shot tonight on Rampage
Result: Trent Beretta beat Penta El Zero M, Komander & Brian Cage in a 4-way by pinning Komander. As a result, Bereta will face AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage for the title on Rampage.

Don Callis & Powerhose Hobbs interviewed backstage.

Match 4: Wardlow vs. a jobber (Evan Daniels)
Result: Wardlow beat Evan Daniels by ref stoppage. Squash.

Ricky Starks & Big Bill join commentary for the next match.
Match 5: Dax The Axe (Dax Hardwood…I mean, Harwood, haha) vs. Rush
Result: No Contest. Ricky Starks & Big Bill interference as Rush was preparing to finish Harwood. All the AEW Tag Team Title 4-way participants tomorrow then hit the ring and brawled all over the place as they eventually went to commercial.

Match 6: Buddy Matthews vs. Wheeler Yuta
Result: Buddy Matthews beat Wheeler Yuta. Afterwards, Claudio Castagnoli made the save to prevent a beatdown on Yuta and challenged Matthews to a match at Full Gear. Matthews appeared to accept. Before the next match began, it was made official for tomorrow’s PPV pre-show.

Main Event: Saraya & Ruby Soho vs. Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander
Result: Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander beat Saraya & Ruby Soho. Shida pinned Saraya after Katana. Angelo Parker was in the crowd and got involved late by seemingly making a romantic advance on Soho.

MJF interview with Tony Schiavone from earlier today. Originally was to have been with Renee Paquette but they changed it earlier today.

End Show.

Rampage:
Chris Jericho comes out to join commentary for the hour.

Match 1: AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage vs. Trent Beretta for the title
Result: AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage beat Trent Beretta to retain the title.

Match 2: Emi Sakura vs. Toni Storm
Result: Toni Storm beat Emi Sakura

Jay Lethal with Jeff Jarrett & crew interviewed backstage along with Eddie Kingston. Lethal has an ROH World Championship opportunity and he gets it tomorrow on the Full Gear pre-show.

Match 3: Roderick Strong vs. Action Andretti
Result: Roderick Strong beat Action Andretti. Match stopped after Andretti hit a Spanish Fly but Strong didn’t land right and his head & neck took the brunt of the impact. The doctors cleared him to continue and they quickly finished.

Jay White interview from earlier today. MJF interrupted by rushing in for a beatdown. Juice Robinson ambushed MJF and threw him into a dressing room. MJF chased White to the ring and continued attacking him. Gunn Club interfered and got fought off but then rallied for the Bullet Club beatdown. Samoa Joe made the save and MJF finally accepted his offer of assistance. That means it’s MJF & Samoa Joe vs. Gunn Club in the ROH Tag Team Title match tomorrow (Joe filling in for Adam Cole) and Joe gets another shot at the AEW World Championship at some point, presumably contingent on MJF retaining.

One more Full Gear card rundown.

Both shows were good overall, nothing spectacular but solid start-to-finish with all average to above-average matches. Hoping Strong will be OK after that bad Spanish Fly. I give both shows a B- (Rampage was elevated from C+ by the White-MJF stuff at the end). A fine week of TV ahead of tomorrow’s PPV despite maybe not the hottest go-home build.

End Shows.

Next week: Another LIVE doubleheader but it will be Rampage moved to Saturday with both shows in Pittsburgh, PA. Dynamite will be by itself on Wednesday in Chicago.
