Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Charleston, WV (SPOILERS for west feed viewers!):
The episode was sponsored by the HBO Max series “House Of The Dragon”, which premieres Sunday night. In keeping with that theme, wrestling legend Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was a special guest timekeeper tonight.
CM Punk called out Adam Page, offering him a title shot. No Page. Jon Moxley came out instead and they brawled all over the place.
In a 2 of 3 Falls match, Bryan Danielson beat Daniel Garcia 2-1. Garcia won Fall 1 by technical submission. Danielson won Fall 2 by pinfall. Danielson won Fall 3 by technical submission.
Tony Nese vs. TBA never happened. Moxley laid out Nese and called out Punk. They tried to fight more but were quickly separated.
Chris Jericho says he & Daniel Garcia will talk in the ring next week after Garcia blew off Jericho earlier.
Gunn Club beat Varsity Blonds. Colten Gunn pinned Griff Garrison. Squash. Post-match, Gunn Club turned on Billy Gunn to align with Stokely Hathaway. They beat down Billy until The Acclaimed made the save. And scissored. Ugh.
Jungle Boy promo leads to a prolonged fight with Christian Cage, Jungle Boy got the best of it despite Cage getting some in. Ended with Jungle Boy stomping on Cage’s arm/shoulder while standing on the steel ring steps. This was damn good stuff.
Toni Storm beat KiLynn King.
AEW Trios Tournament: The Young Bucks & TBA, revealed to be the returning Kenny Omega, beat Andrade El Idolo, Rush & Dragon Lee. Omega pinned Lee after One Winged Angel. Omega’s intro from Justin Roberts included his signature NORTH CA-RO-LI-NA! As the show ended, Andrade laid out Lee, unmasking him in the process, but the camera had already cut to The Bucks & Omega walking back towards the ring as this happened.
Compared to the last several weeks, this was a great show overall.
Next week: Dax Harwood vs. Jay Lethal, Death Triangle vs. Will Ospreay & Aussie Open in the Trios Title Tournament and Moxley-Punk to unify the AEW World Titles!
Friday on Rampage: Trustbusters vs. Best Friends in the Trios Title Tournament, Penelope Ford vs. Athena, Hook vs. Zack Clayton for the FTW Title, AEW Tag Team Champions Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs. Private Party for the titles and Claudio Castagnoli Speaks.
Added to All Out are AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa vs. Toni Storm for the title and FTR & Wardlow vs. Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt & Satnam Singh. Moxley-Punk was made official for the PPV earlier in the show before moving it up to next week.
