Here are the quick results from tonight’s Episode 200 of AEW Dynamite in Tampa, FL:
Match 1: Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara
Result: Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita beat Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara. Jericho pinned Garcia after a behind-the-back baseball bat cheap shot from Don Callis.
Matt Menard confronts Jericho backstage. Mandatory JAS meeting next week and Jericho is to be there.
Jack Perry-Jerry Lynn face-off. But Lynn backs off due to claiming it would be “child abuse” and he wouldn’t be medically cleared to compete anyway, so he brings out fellow ECW legend Rob Van Dam in his place. Perry bailed, then tried to come back with a cheap shot with a chair but it was avoided and Perry bailed into the crowd, even teasing using a girl in the front row as a shield.
Match 2: Jon Moxley vs. Trent Beretta & Penta El Zero M in a 3-way Anything Goes match
Result: Trent Beretta beat Jon Moxley & Penta El Zero M in a 3-way by pinning Penta. Afterwards, BCC & Best Friends brawled and Chuck Taylor challenged BCC to a parking lot fight at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Friday on Rampage.
Van Dam challenges Perry to a match for the FTW Title for next week.
MJF comes out. He plays up to the crowd then calls out Adam Cole. This all builds up to MJF giving Cole an AEW World Championship match and it will be the main event of All In London. It will be a PPV via cable/satellite providers and Bleacher Report in the US and FITE elsewhere on 8/27 at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT.
Match 3: The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega vs. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh
Result: The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega beat Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh. Omega pinned Lethal after One Winged Angel. The end came as Sonjay Dutt, Karen Jarrett, Brandon Cutler, The Hardys & Adam Page all got involved.
Swerve Strickland & AR Fox promo. This leads into a video they made where they visit Buddy Wayne’s wrestling school (a ring in a garage) and beat down Nick Wayne, then they use Wayne’s cell phone to call Darby Allin and threaten him over Allin not calling Fox when he signed to AEW. Strickland says it’s just the beginning.
Match 4: ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo & Komander for the titles
Result: ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open beat El Hijo Del Vikingo & Komander to retain the titles. Kyle Fletcher pinned Komander after Corealis.
Main Event: AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida for the title
Result: Hikaru Shida beat AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm to become THE NEW AEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION! Ruby Soho & Saraya interference throughout, in the end it backfired when they threw Shida’s Singapore Cane in. Storm used the spray paint can afterwards to blind Shida, but couldn’t get 3 with Storm Zero. A small package got Shida the 3 count and the title.
Overall, to me it was another Dynamite that happened, a totally average show. Could have been much better but bad cut-away timing and editing/timing weighed it down. I have been enjoying Collision more lately, it seems to be more of what I like. There was nothing really bad tonight, but nothing really great either.
Friday on Rampage: Parking Lot Fight at Daily’s Place, Anna Jay vs. Skye Blue, Swerve Strickland & AR Fox vs. TBA and Keith Lee & The Hardys vs. The Butcher, The Blade & Kip Sabian.
