DDT ran the second half of their Sapporo doubleheader today, the final build to their next major monthly event later this week.
Today’s event was held at Ewan Stadium in Hokkaido and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.
The announced paid attendance was 238, a super full house/very near sellout.
During the opening, Akito was announced as special referee for the second match.
Match 1; Saki Akai beat Manami Kanda.
Match 2: Yuki Iino & Danshoku Dieno vs. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata and MAO & Toui Kojima in a 3-way went to a no contest. Ring announcer Ken Kato stoppage.
Match 3: HARASHIMA & Makoto Oishi beat Tobuya (?) & Takeshi Masada. Oishi pinned Masada after Luminous Press.
Match 4: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Takashi Yoshida beat Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & Chris Brookes. Yoshida pinned Katsumata after a lightning leg lariat.
Match 5: Daisuke Sasaki & KANON beat Yuji Hino & Yusuke Okada. KANON pinned Okada after Sleepy Hollow.
Main Event: Yukio Sakaguchi, Hideki Okatani & Takaki Iwasaki beat Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida. Okatani pinned Ishida with a double arm suplex.
The next event is 10/23 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. This will be a reduced capacity event with vocal cheering allowed. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Saturday at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
