DDT ran their latest Beer Garden Pro Wrestling event today in Tokyo.
Today’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Friday. There was no live broadcast.
The paid attendance was not announced.
There was a last-minute change to the card due to Daisuke Sasaki being pulled off the event. Continuation of a comedy storyline involving a fear of crocodiles dating back to 1993. He appeared as Crocodile D. Sasa instead.
Match 1: Mecha To-y & Dr. Ueno (Yuki Ueno) beat KANON & Water Masami (Masami Inahata). To-y pinned Inahata after Electric Shock.
Match 2: In a match that required the winner to grab a panda installed in a lighting tower outside the venue and shout “I Love Ueno!” to win once 3 minutes have passed, Junta Miyawaki beat Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata in a 3-way by doing that.
Match 3: Shunna Katsumata beat Yuya Koroku. Both were their rookie versions appearance-wise.
Match 4: Takeshi Masada & Daichi Sato (DDT’s results incorrectly say Yuya Koroku) beat Hinata Kasai & Takama Seki (?). Masada pinned Kasai.
Match 5: Crocodile D. Sasa, Hideki Okatani & MJ Paul beat MAO, Viento Levante & Kazuma Sumi and Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda in a 3-way when Sasa pinned Honda.
Main Event: Takao Soma beat Naomi Yoshimura, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida in a 4-way by pinning Ishida. This was one of Soma’s last DDT matches, if not his last.
After the event, the next Daisuke Sasaki Produced event “CHARISMANIA 5” was announced for 12/3 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring.
The next event is Saturday at Higashi Ward Plaza in Niigata. There will be no live broadcast. On demand Monday.
